NCAA playoffs expanding to 24 teams in 2027

Just got an alert, the 2027 college football season is expanding to 24 teams.

Does anyone think a team like Iowa should be in the playoffs; they probably will.
and I say this as an Alumni

This means more James Madison Teams in the playoffs who should not be

This means more James Madison Teams in the playoffs who should not be

It will be that major upsets won’t mean much. Other than seeding of the brackets.
And even that don’t mean much because they do not do the brackets in a traditional way either.

Best seeds should play worst seeds. But they have not done that.

I wonder if they will use a lot of the mid level bowl games like the Independence Bowl, Sun Bowl, and Gator Bowl for example for the added round of playoff games.
