Joe Milton to Eagles Active Roster

I think its an ego/approach thing with Milton. I remember hearing rumblings.

I could be a thousand percent wrong, but am searching for answers. Not to say he was all world, but the logic still confuses me. We traded a pick to develop a guy, who actually appeared to be developing, only to let him go regardless.

Im not saying this is a huge loss. I just don't understand what we were doing with Milton in general. If it is about intangibles, ego and such it would help to explain how little he appears to be valued in general.
There are 30 years of examples of this franchise not knowing what to do with their players, and leave up to Howie to pin this to the teams bulletin board

Agreed-don't understand the whole process.
We paid a price for a player, developed him, then let him leave to our rivals.
Either we are incredibly stupid or we have overpaid yet again.
If I'm not mistaken, in order to protect him we'd have to promote him to the active roster. They obviously didn't have a good opinion of him.

I know Eagles love ex Cowboy players but if you look at the FA market and the other Practice Squad QBs not really a lot of options to choose from. So I get why they signed Milton but at the end of the day, they'll be looking for a QB in the 27 draft.
