His best shot was here in Dallas. Dak is 34. Hurts is quite a bit younger. Both teams are highly invested in their QBs. If you're a backup looking for playing time, play behind the older QB

He's actually a good replacement for the system the Eagles use with Hurts. Hurts is an athlete, but really not that good of a QB.

Joe isn’t even that good of an athlete.

Sam Howell has 2.5 times more rushing yards in college and pros.

He's there in case of a catastrophe to their backup, and backup to their backup. When Hurts returns my guess he'll flatly be released, or if they see promise they'll move him to the practice squad where we can take him back. If they sign another QB he will be released. I highly doubt Vic Fangio needs our playbook, or any other conspiracy theories. This was a transparent straightforward jobs claim. That's my opinion and I'll stick to it.

Yes the NFL thought so highly of Joe Milton he sat on waivers for 36 hours unclaimed and returned to the Cowboys' practice squad.

Where he remained unsigned another six and a half weeks before a team with a major QB injury decided to bring him in.
