Poll: The Jake Ferguson Incompletion Turned Interception

Should Ferguson have caught this pass?

Yes.

No ifs, buts, or maybes.

A TE1 on a contender (and remember, this is what they like to tell us they are) makes that catch — all. day. long.

All I saw is that an NFL starting TE had the ball hit him in his hands for the second time in the game and he didn’t make the play. PERIOD!!!!! Just like I said Dak Prescott played like crap most of that game. Didn’t pick or choose one over the other - both needed to do better. But, on THAT play, Jake Ferguson crapped the bed…as he’s been doing for most of the year.
They all still don't get it. We understand them. Ball wasn't thrown perfectly it it maybe had too much velocity and it was thrown a little higher than his chest. Very. Catchable. It's in a catch radius. You get paid to catch the ball. He should be demoted for as bad as he played last year, and now this year he can't block or catch. He barely gets open. And somehow we want to question the validity of the throw. No, the throw wasn't perfect, but it was catchable. When it's catchable, it should be cocked if it's not caught. It is what it is. But it wasn't Prescott's fault that he's been under pressure all game. The Blitz was getting through. Guys were not getting open quick enough and he was trying to throw the ball so it couldn't be tipped or intercepted and only be caught by his guy and his guys failing him. He should be demoted. It's like 75% of the great catches we've ever seen were balls that were not thrown on target. We would never have highlight reels if it had been for balls not being. Thrown perfectly, that goes for interceptions. Ridiculous catches, you know. Just the things that we see in top 10 highlight reels on ESPN, those plays like OBJ.

Those happen because the quarterback can't always throw them all. Perfect. And you're paid to catch balls that are in your catch radius. And that for sure was more than catchable. It didn't need to jump or dive.

It's the same group. That when they saw the Noah Brown play, I don't know if it was the overtime from the Jaguars game or the Packer game in 20Locke sat at his courtroom of free mail.22. I believe they were on the road winning and then all of a sudden this is what the receivers were doing. But I think Noah Brown, they were all saying that was Prescott didn't throw the ball, right? And then after they saw the replay in seven angles, they still were in denial, even though they knew that that's all on Noah Brown lost us that game.

Yes, but Prescott holds on to the ball too long , lol
I stopped arguing discussing, debating, with a certain crowd a while ago, at some point, you have to stop hitting yourself in the head with a hammer, lol and let it go,
Great break down, ball in front the whole time.

If you've never played receiver or tight end, you wouldn't know why that was a bad pass.
Running across the field and trying to get open but then having a ball thrown harder than you expect right at your helmet- which is actually behind the catch zone- is actually one of the hardest passes to catch.
Apparently Dak threw it harder than normal- you can see how much it bounced- and that was a very tough catch to make because Ferguson was moving the other way and probably didn't see it until it was right in front of him.
It looked like Dak got scared and threw it earlier than they had practiced and harder than they had practiced.
