The Four Horsemen Of The Dallas Cowboys Apocalypse

[PA Cowboy Fan]

For the Cowboys there's no Jimmy without Jerry.

And Jerry has no SB's without Jimmy. Jerry was a great owner the first 5 years. I never said otherwise. He gets a big fat F ever since.

Not true. The previous regime was going to hire Johnson as D Coordinator to take over for Landry when he retired. The plans changed when Bright sold the team.

He's proved himself the worst GM in team sports history these last 31 years. Nobody else is even close because they all got fired before they could suck for that long.

Of course. And no playoff wins w/o Jimmy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spaulding - You should use your real name. Just sayin …

So weird seeing someone defending Jerry based solely on what happened 30 years ago. What kinda math is that?

It started 30 years ago, but Jerry has been a historically bad franchise GM for 30 seasons in a row and counting. It’s not an isolated, one time incident, it’s a way of life.

I thought you were finding a new team????

Goodbye threads are hard to believe.

Why?

Two reasons.

One, it takes zero effort to do what the message says without typing the message in the first place.

Two, it is exceptionally rare for someone actually typing the message to follow through with what they said. One day its goodbye. A future date it's hello. Human sacrifice! Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!

I think it's because most don't realize the repercussions of quitting this site. That's a lot of time to fill, what now? And then they find that they miss the camaraderie and conversing about the Cowboys. Simple inability to see the big pic in a forward sort of capacity.

I doubt there is less caring about repercussions after the fact and more seeking likeminded confirmational justification before the initial farewell is ever typed.

I think it's just hard to quit a team that You've been a fan of most of your life. I've often said that if I was smart I would have left the team after Jimmy was fired. Now it's just too late. Put too much time and effort into this team. I don't particularly like Goodbye threads either but I understand them because they are made out of frustration.

Someone supporting Jerry at this point, knowing all the bad moves he has made, makes you wonder if there is some sort of brain damage involved.

I understand them. Who is not frustrated with how Jerry Jones has managed his team year-after-year?

There is a reason why no one ever sees and reads ten goodbye threads a day every day. Most frustrated fans are not so frustrated that they stop and type frustrated goodbye threads they, themselves, are not dedicated in following through with.

Also what is the...point?

Also...why do you care so much?

Nicely done. But tell us something we didn't already know.

As Cowboys fans we should be thinking about life after Jerry. What will that be like. Will Stephen assume the GM role? Will he hire an actual football person to replace his father? I am sure in his head Stephen already has a plan.

Very weird. I was just looking this up!

“I don’t have a succession plan, I don’t,” Jerry, 83, “One day I just won’t be here to toss my two cents in.”
