If Milton gets a real chance to play with Eagles this could get good!

Didn't he go through waivers unclaimed? If he figures his athletic talent through the roof but I wouldn't be shocked if he's back on practice squad this year

The odds are extremely low. I estimate less than 1% but...

The starting quarterback could get hurt. Tanner McKee is currently starting for the Eagles.

The backup quarterback could get hurt. Cole Payton is McKee's insurance plan.

It's not like ^ nonsense ever happened before. Right?

Just something to think about in case this thread OP's premise somehow miraculously becomes reality. And here is a link before an essay pops into this plane of existence explaining why this what if of a what if cannot happen.
so you are Saying he has a chance. LOL...

Done w Dak - high on Milton. Tells us all we need to know about your ball knowledge

I thought i was the only one who peeped that. Some people need to study how NFL talent is evaluated before posting anything on the internet.

Madden franchise mode has people thinking they know how to evaluate NFL talent.

What is this supposed to mean? Nobody can take you serious because you were one of the brain dead people comparing Cooper Rush to Dak years ago.

How'd that work out.....

I would have thought you've learned not do stupid comparisons again.

Milton has a cannon arm and can perform well when there is a clean pocket. When there’s any rush at all, he’s one of the worst QBs ever to make a Dallas roster. There’s a reason he cleared waivers for 31 other teams. Think about that. He holds zero interest for 31 other teams. I agree with 31 other teams, and I think Milton doesn’t even belong on the practice squad.
And I respect your opinion, but my question was if he kicks total butt and becomes something in philly how would you feel? That was my question, not whether you thought he was good or not..

How could it be good?
Good is maybe not the right word, I'm saying that if Joe goes over to the eagles and kicks butt what does that do to our fanbase or our confidence in our evaluators? I'm saying that I believe lots of lots of peeps would be livid if Joe goes on to show something great... I believe he will, but that is me..

Here we go. Ridiculous fans coming out of the woodwork. Talking about once again turning in their cowboy card if they miss out on some spare quarterback. That hasn't done a thing yet in the NFL and was sitting on the practice squad for anybody to take at any time and it took. A rival just probably to put a thorn in our side. But sure, they have Jaydon Blue and Milton. They're gonna win 6 Super Bowls with them. Yeah, let's get ridiculous. I'm turning in my cowboy card if this time. They miss out on a player. It's so ridiculous. You are so ridiculous. The extra in here is sad at times. Look, there's a lot of things that you can. Stand behind and protest. This isn't one of them. But hey, if he ends up turning his career round, that's great. I mean, Sam Darnold did it for the most part, but he's being exposed again. He is what he is. It will take a great team for someone like Milton to even have a chance, but you're over Dak, a guy who's putting up MVP numbers just about every year. No, he's not an MVP, but he's putting up. Top five numbers and you're just over it. For a guy like Milton. That's all I need to know about you. Get back to your fantasy football and your Madden, because this is the weirdest pose I've seen that you're gonna turn in your card. This is what pushed you over the edge if Milton. Of all people. Somehow, the Cowboys let get away..

The insanity. I wasn't even going to say anything, but I was in such shock. That I just had to. Dude. Just whatever it is that's bothering you, it ain't the cowboys you need to seek therapy. Because I don't know if he's gonna get on the field much. They may have a package for him, but Tanner Mckee is better than you think. And let me explain something to you. They also have another backup. Jalen Hurts is not out for the year. He'll probably miss four weeks. I think that's the minimum. They just want to make sure he's on blood thinners and it is. Clot clears his. His time is not over. He may even return back this year. You're just so extra. It's insane that you would even post that. This is where you make your stand on 1. Joseph Milton...
again, you're missing my initial question.. I'm not trying to convince you that Joe could do something in the nfl, either one of us could be right on that evaluation. What I'm asking, is if he shows something great in philly with the chances he get how would that make you feel? From my perspective I think he may, and if he does, me personally will be irked..

I can't call myself an expert on any level but I can't help but think I know a special QB when I see one, and Joe really has something. I don't know if he can be a reliable starter in the NFL but I think he has a lot of ability and the jump I saw him take from last season is huge. What I'm saying is I think it was a mistake not holding onto him.
This is his 3rd season in the NFL, brother. If he was special he would be starting somewhere by now.

See my above reply.

Milton had NEARLY the same stats as Dak.
You miss my point, I use to love Dak, but you won't convince me that he has a good stable mental makeup, its terrible, you know it, so does everyone else.. I would love to trade Dak if we could and get some picks and go down with someone like Milton the rest of the season to see if there is anything there.. We aren't doing anything this year, it's over.. Coaching sucks, are defense is terrible, our general manager is the worst in the nfl...

And I respect your opinion, but my question was if he kicks total butt and becomes something in philly how would you feel? That was my question, not whether you thought he was good or not..

I don't know we can read much out of it because the Eagles system and roster made Hurts look good. With that said, if Milton goes there and does well then thats great for him.

If that happens then it wouldn't be the first time players underachieved with one franchise then flourished with another who has a system in place that better fits their skillsets.

Its happened to every team before.

I have watched alot of Qb player over the years and personally even though he was far from perfect I saw great upside with Milton in the preseason... I'm out on Dak because I have seen enough of his deer in the headlights and his inability to have what I consider Elite Qb composer... Having said that, If Milton does indeed get chance with Philly and does great, I believe that may be the total nail in the coffin for me as a fan. Each and every year my enthusiasm lessens.

If you were like me and liked what you saw from Milton and wanted to see him get a real chance, how would you feel if Milton became a star in Philly? Hypothetically that is??? I would be happy for Joe quite honestly, but I'm sure Jerrah would spin it on how much he loves him some Dak and happy for Milton, YADA YADA...
We've seen him play in real football games. He's horrible.

There's good reason no team wants him. The Eagles had to pull him up to have an emergency quarterback.

It's business. He showed nothing here. It wouldn't bother me at all. Players move around from all teams and become better. How do you think Philadelphia got that zach Baun kid?.

Why do you think Malik Collins is on his 4th team? It might have been his 5th team after he left the Cowboys and now he's playing great. This is just how it rolls. If they're not good, why they're here? There's no reason to take up a roster spot. And I would understand if they did because he has potential, but you cannot take up roster spots for potential, especially when you have historically. Bad injuries to one part of your team. They're already running out of IR call UPS already..

They couldn't carry three quarterbacks. And they felt like Sam if needed. For long, relief would be a better option. Right now. It happens. What do you think about Sam Darnold winning a Super Bowl? So five teams. Those fans should just be triggered and upset they let go of Sam? Or was Sam just not playing well? And that's why he got released.?

Think deeply. There are many. Resurrected careers by lots of guys, especially with quarterbacks. But others they they leave teams, they get on A 3rd or 4th team and all of a sudden they're playing well...

So given the fact that it's a business and we understand the business, no, it would not trigger me. I mean, of all teams, I wouldn't want him to be good with the Eagles. What the percentage is astronomical? I believe it was Dallas or whoever said it. Here, just a few spaces up, it's a 1% chance. I'll give it 5%...

But better players than him have been released or traded like Kyle Murray. And TUA? And they play pretty good games here and there. Their team should be more triggered because he released the people that took up draft picks and a ton of money and dead cat money, and yet when they go and have a good game somewhere else, it's you just have to live with it...

Okay. THAT...was not your point though...not in the comment I replied to.

It's a VERy competitive sport. And guys like Dak just have a guaranteed spot. He's not competeting fo rit no matter who else is there, and refuse to look to any form of upgrade.

I'm not sure Milton is "special". But I think he's a better player than what he's been able to show.

So our coaches would still be here, Gm isn't changing and you want to trade away our only hope? Lmao. Then you double down and want those same coaches and GM to do a rebuild. Just sit this one out dude seriously.

If he's as bad as you say he is, he'd have your job...instead of backup NFL QB.
