He definitely couldn't do my job either. He's useless. If he's as bad as you say he is, he'd have your job...instead of backup NFL QB.

I have watched alot of Qb player over the years and personally even though he was far from perfect I saw great upside with Milton in the preseason... I'm out on Dak because I have seen enough of his deer in the headlights and his inability to have what I consider Elite Qb composer... Having said that, If Milton does indeed get chance with Philly and does great, I believe that may be the total nail in the coffin for me as a fan. Each and every year my enthusiasm lessens.
If you were like me and liked what you saw from Milton and wanted to see him get a real chance, how would you feel if Milton became a star in Philly? Hypothetically that is??? I would be happy for Joe quite honestly, but I'm sure Jerrah would spin it on how much he loves him some Dak and happy for Milton,
Great posts.I agree. With what we saw in the preseason I am still shocked we let him go. If he plays well for the Eagles that will be a very bitter pill to swallow. I still don’t understand why you would let a QB with potential go. Unless he can’t read a defense. But I’m still disillusioned with this move. I was advocating for him to be signed on the roster and be the emergency QB. Cut Schoon to make room for him.
We’ll see how this plays out.
The haters here will always find something to complain about so I wouldn’t worry about them. I mean they’re haters. They deserve their misery.Good is maybe not the right word, I'm saying that if Joe goes over to the eagles and kicks butt what does that do to our fanbase or our confidence in our evaluators? I'm saying that I believe lots of lots of peeps would be livid if Joe goes on to show something great... I believe he will, but that is me..
What’s your job?He definitely couldn't do my job either. He's useless.
LOL...soem sort of personal issues. He definitely couldn't do my job either. He's useless.
So our coaches would still be here, Gm isn't changing and you want to trade away our only hope? Lmao. Then you double down and want those same coaches and GM to do a rebuild. Just sit this one out dude seriously.

I appreciate the thoughtful write-up! That's a great point about the ability to go through progressions. Just to play devil's advocate (again), wasn't the only knock on Mahomes coming out of college from Texas Tech that experts didn't know if he'd be able to go through multiple progressions?Interesting thought. I'd have to separate into two facets.
1. If he only played as little as he did in preseason, still late in the draft.
2. If he played all season that way, then 2nd or 3rd, most likely.
To be clear, to get my evaluations I read a ton from what experts say, and then extrapolate that info to attempt a reasonably logical conclusion.
In this case, Milton showed to be a good playmaker, but we already knew that. However, to be a good starting QB you must go through progressions and you must have the ability to see and interpret the entire field. It's a very strange ability, because a QB has nanoseconds to go through all this. You can't just be smart, you must be fast/smart.
Milton did play very well, of that there is no doubt. However, I didn't observe him going through progressions. His first read was mostly open. So, why were they open? Because in the preseason you mostly have DBs who can't mirror a WR.
So, you're not just watching for completed passes, you're analyzing why the pass was completed and then trying to evaluate whether that same pass would've been good against NFL talent.
That's why you see so many backup/young QBs look good in preseason. Poor coverage.
Maybe he’s much more intuitive than the cowboys thought.I don’t even know how this dude can get the offense this quickly. It took him an entire year here to get it
I think that's the point of the threadUh, he is an Eagle now....
But we do appreciate that breaking news!I think that's the point of the thread![]()
No, it's an emergency situation for Philly. Hurts is out for a month. They have to have somebody if McKee gets hurt. Nothing more.Maybe he’s much more intuitive than the cowboys thought.
Can’t trust the cowboys when evaluating players ability.
Just saying.
He'll be inactive for the 4 week mandatory period he's on the rosterI have watched alot of Qb player over the years and personally even though he was far from perfect I saw great upside with Milton in the preseason... You don't know if he will cut, that is a ludicrous statement..He'll be inactive for the 4 week mandatory period he's on the roster
and then cut!
This season and maybe next on practice squads and it's off to Canada!
If you're saying Milton is better than Dak I can't help you. Just to say there have been big arms QB's that didn't make it. He did improve but was lacking something. Coaches watched him a year and half and didn't fight to keep himI have watched alot of Qb player over the years and personally even though he was far from perfect I saw great upside with Milton in the preseason... I'm out on Dak because I have seen enough of his deer in the headlights and his inability to have what I consider Elite Qb composer... I agree, but I'm thinking within the organization mostly.. I can't imagine how stupid Shotty will feel if somehow Milton ends up being a stud with Eagles... I'm speaking with emotion as well when I say I would be pissed, and the reason being is because I do indeed see some great upside with Milton, but time will tell..The haters here will always find something to complain about so I wouldn’t worry about them.
