Not saying they don't have talent. But something is off. The defense can't tackle anybody and the offense, while good most of the time has stretches where it looks like high school. Missing blocks, throws in the dirt, receivers playing volleyball instead of making the catch. No one is immune. I am starting to believe in "the curse." What I am watching doesn't make any logical sense. Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark are not this easy to block. The defense cannot tackle any RB except Derrick Henry. And they can't tackle any QB at all. Maybe it's Schottie.. I thought the guys would respond to his low key, no BS, honest approach but they haven't. They like him but they are not inspired by him. And that worries me.. This team plays without passion.. and as good as some of them are.. as a whole they are not talented enough to get away with that. It's left me unable to enjoy any game. And to be honest I'm starting to get kinda mad about that. I need to see some guys breathing fire Sunday night.. Even if we lose I need to see all 46 guys who suit up playing with their hair on fire. If they don't then Schottie might not even need to get back on the flight home cause he will be unemployed before the post game interviews are done.
That's a great post Ronnie and I concur.
This team definitely has more talent than what the record is showing.
And after careful thought I can only circle it back to coaching and you hit it on the head.
These guys like shoddy they love to hang out with him they'll Greek dance and play ping pong shoot each other with paintballs.
But they don't want to play for this guy they don't take him seriously.
He's their friend not the undisputed leader of the team.
I commend Jerry on throwing some talent at this team but as usual he continues to ignore coaching and try and work his way around a dominant proven coach.
In my mind this isn't the Dallas Cowboys anymore hasn't been this is Jerry's boys.
The real Dallas Cowboys were led by military trained men who knew what duty and loyalty was
men were respected and knew how to train men to do a job.
We are in the participation trophy era where nobody gets mad and nobody jumps into anybody's face and it's a kinder gentler coaching atmosphere and it doesn't work.
It is truly painful to watch but it doesn't make me mad anymore it's just not worth it and in all honesty it's really not worth any of our time to watch it or debate what is wrong because we all know and it's been glaringly wrong for 30 years.
And it will continue to be wrong as long as this man owns the team and feels the need to be in the spotlight and claim all the credit for everything that happens.
