I have accepted it. This is just not a good team

I wish all observers, especially older fans, would think back and ask themselves, "When have I seen the entire team play with their hair on fire all season long?" Not one player. Not six or seven players. All starters and backups.

Maybe then the realization will begin sinking in that the underlying problem precedes Brian Schottenheimer. Precede, as in a LONG time ago.
Not since Parcells, and those teams did legitimately lack talent.

Not saying they don't have talent. But something is off. The defense can't tackle anybody and the offense, while good most of the time has stretches where it looks like high school. Missing blocks, throws in the dirt, receivers playing volleyball instead of making the catch. No one is immune. I am starting to believe in "the curse." What I am watching doesn't make any logical sense. Quinnen Williams and Kenny Clark are not this easy to block. The defense cannot tackle any RB except Derrick Henry. And they can't tackle any QB at all. Maybe it's Schottie.. I thought the guys would respond to his low key, no BS, honest approach but they haven't. They like him but they are not inspired by him. And that worries me.. This team plays without passion.. and as good as some of them are.. as a whole they are not talented enough to get away with that. It's left me unable to enjoy any game. And to be honest I'm starting to get kinda mad about that. I need to see some guys breathing fire Sunday night.. Even if we lose I need to see all 46 guys who suit up playing with their hair on fire. If they don't then Schottie might not even need to get back on the flight home cause he will be unemployed before the post game interviews are done.
What took you so long?

It's really simple. They have a good offense. They have a bad defense. They have a so-so special teams.

That's why they are normally around .500 at the end of the year.
Wrong!
They have a talented offense, but terrible offensive coaching.
The defenses we played the last 2 weeks kicked our butts, all over the field, AND both of those defenses were way less talented than our offense.

Our talented offense has played terrible the last 2 weeks because our OC/HC has no idea how to move the ball vs an aggressive defense that constantly has 6-8 guys at the LOS!

That's a great post Ronnie and I concur.

This team definitely has more talent than what the record is showing.

And after careful thought I can only circle it back to coaching and you hit it on the head.

These guys like shoddy they love to hang out with him they'll Greek dance and play ping pong shoot each other with paintballs.

But they don't want to play for this guy they don't take him seriously.

He's their friend not the undisputed leader of the team.

I commend Jerry on throwing some talent at this team but as usual he continues to ignore coaching and try and work his way around a dominant proven coach.

In my mind this isn't the Dallas Cowboys anymore hasn't been this is Jerry's boys.

The real Dallas Cowboys were led by military trained men who knew what duty and loyalty was

men were respected and knew how to train men to do a job.

We are in the participation trophy era where nobody gets mad and nobody jumps into anybody's face and it's a kinder gentler coaching atmosphere and it doesn't work.

It is truly painful to watch but it doesn't make me mad anymore it's just not worth it and in all honesty it's really not worth any of our time to watch it or debate what is wrong because we all know and it's been glaringly wrong for 30 years.

And it will continue to be wrong as long as this man owns the team and feels the need to be in the spotlight and claim all the credit for everything that happens.

What's sad is they are looking like .500 is a stretch. As usual, the Packers put it to them again. Guys running wide open several times. Not fun to watch my team get beat week in and week out. Players or coaches? I will say both but more players than coaches. jmho

Dallas was exposed in the GB playoff debacle and it's never been the same since. This is now 3 straight years of a terrible product. We hire a guy that has no business being HC and a guy who has no business being DC.

We are now in year 11 of Dak and same ol same ol.

I knew we weren't good in camp. I knew this was a transition year on defense. We are seeing it. But what's worse is , the prep, the lack of a direction. Lack of discipline. Last, CP just isn't ready.
