Would you call Belichick?

Should we? Even if it's just a 2 year temporary fix but gets us pointed in the right direction, should we give him a call to see if he'd come back to the NFL? At very least we'd have some sort of discipline hopefully. We'd be prepared, even if we lose. This team doesn't know how to prepare and win. It's clear. With our young guys we drafted, I think hiring BB could be enough to at least win the division. Nobody takes this team serious. He'd be a bridge. But a upgrade over this horrifying staff.

No. He's pushing 80.

He was only a good drafter because he was one of the few teams running the 3/4, and the scheme specific players would fall to him as the 4/3 teams passed them up. And then add in that Belly knew where the games were won, the trenches. While everyone else was filling their roster w/ skill players, Belly was grabbing up the numerous trench players slipping down the draft because they weren't CBs.

Also sold high at the right time. Seymour, Chandler Jones etc...
Maybe a bit of luck too with Gronk and Hernandez in the same draft but hey.

And refused to pay CBs and WRs. Mankins and Wilfork were certainly kept around, though!!!!!

I wouldn't call Belichick if he offered to coach for free.

I've never been a fan of his as he never won anything without Tom Brady and even Bruce Arians won a Super Bowl coaching the Buccaneers with a 43-year old Tom Brady.
All good/great coaches need a good/great QB. Not an accurate example.

Or maybe Brady was an average college QB til he played for Belichick....Brady had the luxury of playing with defenses that catered to his style of play....they both benefited from being on the same team. Just like Troy did with Jimmy....and many.....it takes great coaching to win championships. One side of the ball can't do it without the other side....

The best he ever was was a good defensive coordinator and even that weakened over time as teams figured him out.

If he had never had Tom Brady he would have never won a Super Bowl as head coach.

I'm glad Jerry didn't hire him and hope he never does.

Should have went after Vrabel who wanted an interview.

Tomlin would be a viable option but there's going to be other options.

Yes, I would. He is not suited for the college game or the recruiting and NIL money that goes with it.

The owner/GM would be forced to pay top dollar for a HC. They would have to buy him out of his UNC deal AND pay him a huge salary to be HC of the Dallas Cowboys. The owner would no longer be the face of the franchise. The coaches and players would know the buck really stops with the HC. Similar to how it was under Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcells. I'd even give him the Jimmy Johnson contract clause of final say over personnel and coaching staff.

I can guarantee that things would be buttoned up in all 3 phases of the game and the team wouldn't look unprepared.

He may be hungry to prove that he can win one without TB12. Prescott with all of his warts is still better than what the Hoodie had after Brady in NE. Three year window or deal. He has enough skins on the wall to give him the benefit of the doubt.

North Carolina pays Bill Belichek 5yrs/$50 million.

Dallas pays Brian Schottenheimer 4yrs/$18 million. They didn't even interview any candidate that might cost big money.

People need to wake up. The Cowboys are a D tier organization.

Well cheating may be a way to go......the fortunate thing would be that #4 already has that down pat. ;)

Jerry should have hired him after letting Mike McCarthy go.
He would have been a great short term HC.
