Do you think it's ok to talk on your cell phone while driving, and does it bother you when you see others talking or texting on their cell phones while driving knowing it's illegal?

No, it is not OK to text or talk while driving, IMO.

And, the people that do talk and text while driving are mostly young teenagers just learning how to drive in the first place. You are driving a 3 ton missile and you should always concentrate on your driving instead of talking or texting someone.

The only reason you need to break out your cell phone to make a call is when you are driving to the theater to ask what is playing.

Yes, absolutely it's okay to talk on a cell phone while driving. However, it is not okay to not pay attention while driving. They are not synonymous.

I should probably rephrase the original question. Is it ok to text or talk on cell phones in states where it is illegal?

Carry on.

Only if your are coming home drunk and need to call someone to give you directions to where you live.

Well, if you're driving drunk I hope you're smart enough to turn off your light so the cops don't see you.

;)

Well, duh! Of course! Also, I don't wear my seat belt in case they do see me that way I can make a fast run for it. (but i won't forget to take my phone).

Yea, i was going to say, its completely legal in PA. Texting is a no, though.

I live in Miami. Talking is legal and texting may be too. I heard a rumor that texting recently became outlawed but i haven't heard or seen it made official. That being said i don't mind talking and driving but texting is a big no no. So many people don't pay attention when texting

Its literally impossible to pay attention to driving while you're texting.

Talking on your cell phone is illegal when going through a school zone only, where I live. Otherwise, its all game. I dont mind people talking on their cells, but the texting does piss me off. I saw this guy driving a semi truck texting. EEEEEK. I hope he made it to his destination.

It's illegal for CDL drivers to even talk on a cell unless it's hands free. I believe it's a $3,000.00 fine.

I have hands free option so its less of distraction. Definitely not ok to text and drive, read too many people getting hurt or killed while texting and drving.

in this age of bluetooth, there's no need to have a phone stuck to your ear while trying to drive. yes, it's very irritating.

and anyone that says it doesn't affect their driving is full of ****.

if you're using your phone on speaker, bluetooth or some sort of hands free then go for it. if not then no
