I'm curious to gauge the fans' general confidence level going into next season before training camp, after training camp, before preseason, after preseason, before the regular season, mid-season and after game 12.

At this point, on a scale of 1-10, what is your confidence level in Garrett? And what factors play into that level of confidence?

I'll reserve my opinion for later to give others a chance to express their opinion without feeling pressured to agree or disagree with the OP.

Not a lot coach wise, but the team will be better because hopefully he wont have the mental farts because he had too much on his plate.

Very confident. He's had a couple of years to build the team with the type of players he feels are important for a successful football team. No thugs like Pacman and no prima donnas like TO. He kind of reminds me of Greg Popovich with his pound the rock philosophy. I think this is the year the rock breaks and the team has a deep run into the playoffs.

I'd say a 7 or 8 but I have no confidence whatsoever in his GM or the VP of Personnel. It's not a question, to me, of the head coach being the only obstacle to winning. We need a head coach who can win despite of the guys running the team.

When/if Garrett fails here my confidence level in him as a head coach probably won't change. I understand the hand he's been dealt here.

I think Garrett, eventually, will be a great coach. So, I think he'll improve a lot this year. He won't be Tom Landry yet....but I rate my confidence at around a 7. Remember, it took Landry quite a few years to become a great coach. I can remember Bill Belicheck, Mike Shanahan, and Pete Carroll failing in their first stints as the HC.

I'm going to give it a 6. He has still not shown me enough to rank my confidence level higher than that. Hopefully he proves me wrong this year.

I'll give him an 8... I really like Garrett and have no interest in a head coach switch anytime soon. He still has things to learn, but that will come in time with a young head coach. He's poised and I like that.

Five maybe less. Team needs to get over the hump this year.

I will give Garrett an 8. I am confident he will become a good coach and I am really excited about some of the new coaches he has brought in this year, especially Marinelli on defense.

I give Garrett about a 4-5. Terrible playcalling and clock management is what drives me crazy about him. Most would say the same. I don't buy into the story that his "hands are tied" excuse because it was Jerry who wanted to promoted him to coach in the first place and without Jerry's help he would never be a coach on any other team.

I rate him as a 4 or 5 because I believe he has a lot more to learn and more room to grow.

A grade 8 is about right. This is his three year plan. If he does not win a SB. He will be a failure.

The players won't have anything do with why he did not win a SB.

I give it a 3. He has been what has held us back for years. He has refused too adjust when needed and his in game management is horrible. I'd hope he learned but overall I think he is stubborn about his "process" and that doesn't bode well. Considering his time as OC and HC I see nothing that shows progress.

How confident am I that this team can win with Garrett? 10

How confident am I that he is the best coach for this team? 5
