Year after year I've heard how this team has improved....

How changing schemes is gonna benefit everyone.....

I've heard it all......again ....this year how things will be different.

How Doug Free has improved. (Only to turn on the NFL Network Day 2 and watch Free give up a sack to Ben Bass in a 2 minute drill.)

How drafting a Center (Frederick) is gonna solve the problems w/ the run game and teams pushing the pocket. (Only to watch todays scrimmage and watch Frederick practically skip one snap after another at the QB's feet. And if Frederick wasn't aiming @ the QBs shins he was powder puffing snaps that barely got back to the QB. Andre Gurode would have been proud.

Keep hearing how great a camp Tyron Smith is having....Only to see him get worked over.

Keep hearing how great everything is going in camp. Only to see everyone going through the motions @ half speed.

And we can't figure out why our execution is so poor when the bullets start flying for real.

And to top it off Jerry has to run his mouth how great of an offensive coordinator he could have been had he not bought the Cowboys.

Really..... Jerry??????

How great could you have been?

Could you have been Norv Turner great? Or even better?

Better than Garrett?

The point is .......................Nothing has changed.

It's still a circus.

It's still camp cupcake.

Jerry is still cashing in on the Dallas Cowboys name......

It's players going though the motions to avoid injury. To get paid....Period.

You keep hearing how hard they are working. I've seen everyday of camp so far....and I've yet to see this team go full out.

Not being prepared is like preparing for failure. And this is gonna be the 2013 Cowboys.

Jerry and DallasCowboys.com can sell Dez Bryant to the public all they want.

But true football guys see right though the glitz and hype....to see this team is rotten from the inside out.

Hence, I'm not buying it anymore.

Sorry to see you go. I recommend following the 49'ers, if your looking to hitch your allegience to a favored winner. Better yet, if it's depression you seem to thrive on, try the Raiders or Chiefs.
Watch that door on your way out, please.

Ok. I'm not sure that anyone was trying to get you to buy anything to begin with but whatever floats your boat.

And if people would stop and realise that every single year, at every single camp in the NFL, all you hear is how great things are going. How this guy is doing this or that position is doing this. Do you really expect the coaches, players, and people to tell people what they're not doing well? What they're struggling with?

If you buy into any sort of perceived 'hype' based off of coach and player speak about how camps and practices are going then you've really only got yourself to blame for it in the first place.

I have to start off with nobody likes a debbie downer. That being said, we have to remember the circumstances we found ourselves in last year and the steps taken to correct some of our deficiencies. This includes injuries, play call on offense/defense, and of course a dismal turnover ratio. We have made plenty of changes from coaching personal to drafting players that our front office feels will have us competing now and in the future. There is no kool-aid to be drinking here folks. The talent is not only plentiful in the NFL but distributed around the league pretty evenly. I see no reason why we shouldn't be in the thick of things in this extremely competitive league. What I can't get my head around is that the cowboys aren't up to par to you standards, they try to change things up and you are still complaining? Give me a break.

If your intention was to get a reaction, you've suceeded. The fact is, the Cowboys have made improvements. Will it be enough? That's why we play the games. To come here and basically confess to giving up is your right but expect some flak over it. This is after all, a Cowboys fan forum. This time of year, fans are all optimistic that their teams have made some improvements.

I'm sorry the Cowboys frustrate you so much. Rather than get all fired up about what changes they did/didn't do, you could simply stop following them. You obviously don't get any enjoyment out of being a fan of them. Just saying.

So tired of fans telling other fans how to be fans. Is there anything more tired than 'if you are so frusterated go follow another team"? It is an 8-8 team until proven other wise and everything is open to scrutiny, period.

You're right about that, Jobb. I guess I "rose to the bait" too quickly on that cast. Silly me, I've seen the ups and downs, successes and failures, good times and bad, triumph and tragedy of this team.....OUR team......for going on 53 years now, but never ONCE have I said "I've had it....I can't stand it anymore"...and never will.

Oh, that wasn't directed at you any more than myself. Just a word of caution to another. Good morning.

The OP already claimed to "burn his cowboy gear" when we did not draft his pet cat.

Is anyone surprised about this kind of thread coming from him?

Unlike the author of this thread, I'm drinking the cool aid again this year. Even though I told my self I wouldn't, the excitement of the new season factored with positive reports from training camp have me giddy with excitement. I'm well aware of the team's shortcomings last year, but I agree the organization has taken steps to improve. Just how much they've improved will be evident real soon!

I don't know what hype or hopes I have for this season's Cowboys. Although I do hope for a lot of emotion, anger, hits.. I want a team that has a huge chip on their shoulder..

Guess , we will see, But, I ain't holding my breath.

I'm not buying into much either. I'm hopeful, but I look at what we needed to address and we didn't do it. Not that I expected everything to get fixed over the course of one off-season, but if we want to get better we have to make an effort to get better up front. To be good, you have to be good up front. It's really that simple.

Until we start drafting young, exciting DLs, OLs, or acquiring nice young cogs in the same areas in FA then I'm temper my expectations.
