Jerry has said himself that Stephen is gaining more control of the team the past few years.

Judging by the most drafts and coaching changes, I'm guessing he will be a solid owner for us.

Atleast I'd like to believe that...at the moment the arrow for this team is pointed upwards, so I'll be satisfied with that.

I agree with this, Stephen seems to be much more a logical thinker then his father who often lets emotion get in the way. I also think Stephen is of the mold of hire good people (scouts, FO etc) and let them do their jobs. The arrow on this team is definitely pointing up in my opinion and I would say the main reason for that is Stephen taking more control.

Stephen won't be the GM when he takes over. That alone is reason for hope post Jerry.

There is no guarantee of this. If so, I would be interested to see a quote from him about that fact.

At least he owns up to his mistakes, unlike his dad.

Even Jerry admits he is wrong from time to time. Then we get the "man in the mirror" speech. Or about how his credit cards got cut up on Love Field.

Admitting it does not equate to learning from it.

Don't need a quote from him. It won't happen.

There are still a lot of fans who believe that he will. All I have seen is him being deliberately elusive when the question has come up through the years.

I am incredibly impressed with Stephen. He's a cap genius in the way he's had to figure out ways around his daddy's spending habits.

You think Jerry understands the cap?

Can you name one person outside of the organization who says Stephen is a CAP genius? Does it really take a genius to restructure a contract to push money down the line?

Well, he's kind of the guy who invented that (along with the 49ers).

Stephen is a very bright guy when it comes to economics. And when his day comes, he'll be smart enough to leave the football stuff to the football people, even if he carries the GM title.

He is close with Garrett and trusts him on football matters.

Just watch this interview and recall back to all the times in the off season he laughed off suggestions that the cap would not hold us back from addressing our holes. Well 2nd question in he admits it. Oline was not addressed partly b/c of the Cap issues, period. He even had the nerve to blame injuries as if this line would be better off with a healthy Livings/Bernadeau. This guy doesn't get it.

I feel very uneasy about our future with him in charge. I don't see what this guy brings to the table for this organization. Can somebody break it down for me? He's not even as charismatic as Jerry.

What free agent guards were available this offseason? He may have simply meant the cap wouldn't deter them from making any moves this offseason along the o-line just because the players available were cheap, I don't know.

There is nobody to name. He is the reason that the Cowboys stay on the edge of cap hell. Tons of bad contracts and he doesn't offer the comic relief that Jerry does. The only hope from the Jones family may be the fuzzy headed grandson that wears the Felix jerseys. I had high hopes for Stephen at one point, but the more of him I see, the less I like him. Seems like a arrogant guy that has little football knowledge. I had rather see Jerry's daughter take over the team.
