I'm fairly confident we will, but I'm curious to see what everyone else thinks the likelihood is of it actually happening.

I'll say there's a 70% chance we will sign him.

100% but Waters is really handling this holding out the wrong way. Act like a pro and get your *** to camp.

It's my understanding that our front office and Waters are no longer in communication. Last week, Jerry even mad a statement to the effect that an offer's on the table and if it's acted upon, so be it. If not, we'll move on. I really believe Waters is pricing himself out of the range the Cowboys feel comfortable with and that's that. I'm thinking there's a slim chance at best that Waters plays for the Cowboys. I'll say about 20%.

How can he be holding out if he's not even on the payroll?

I do not blame him a bit for getting every last thing he can out of this.

He has the Joneses on the ropes and has been working them over for the past couple of weeks. Maybe longer. He can go for the knockout any time he wants. Jerry and Stephen could have stepped away but they realize they cannot.

He does not owe anyone anything. This is a seller's market thanks to the fact the personnel on the OL has been misevaluated.

Right. Pack all your stuff up and fly to California to do some conditioning with the team for a few days, then come back to Dallas.

Or wait until camp at Oxnard finishes (which it has as of today) and then sign after the team gets back from AZ.

Why is that so hard to understand?

I have guarded confidence that he will be signed. But, it's going to be fun one way or the other.

Know one knows what is going to happen with the team this year before the first game at home. Let's see if Eli signs the locker room wall again.

I say 80%.

I think he comes in right before the season starts.

I think it's more about staying with his family than money.

Me heart tells me 90%...but, my head says 10%...I don't hear much of anything on waters except in here...we should know next week

He is a veteran who does does not want the grind of preseason and camp.
I would not be surprised if he accepted the Cowboys offer a week before the start of the season.

I don't know what to think of this Waters situation. Guy not signing right now because he doesn't want to go through the process with the rest of the team. Doesn't really fit the RKG mold.

With that, I say 0%. Jason wouldn't tolerate such stuff.

60/40 that he won't be signed.

That percentage increased towards the "he won't be signed" after it was reported Leary's knee operation went well.

If the line, specifically Bern looks... decent vs. Arizona that percentage will continue to increase.

0% But only because that's my preference. I'd rather troll other teams lines for potential veteran cuts. That Ryan Cook trade worked out pretty well, so I'd like to see them do something similar.

you do realize anyone cut has to clear waivers; and there are 17 teams ahead of us?

My % confidence he'll accept our offer? Probably around 75%. I'm sure we want him at the right price. I do think we have a firm number in mind, though. Not sure it'll be enough.
