Still he missed a wide open Terrence Williams for a touchdown. 2 games and counting, no touchdowns for the first unit this preseason. It's starting to remind me of last year.

It doesn't matter what you're paying them, they're going to leave points on the field, so you might as well accept it. What you should hope for, and expect, is that he plays at a level at or above the level his salary dictates relative to other QBs. And even then, not in the preseason when they're really not running their offense, anyway.

An overthrow is not a good thing. But to isolate plays and not accept them is pointless. You need to evaluate his play for an entire game. Like any other human to play the game, he's going to have picks and overthrows from time to time.

Romo left 7pts on the field in a PRESEASON PRACTICE GAME and its called unacceptable. Wow!!! That's just unbelievable. The second to last preseason game is usually the warm up for the regular season so I would like to see the first offense put it together next game.

Tony Romo is the most overly-scrutinized quarterback in NFL history. He's far from perfect, as is true from most quarterbacks in the NFL, yet he's held to a different standard. Imagine if he missed on the throws that Palmer missed on yesterday. He missed on one throw to Williams and I've read about it on 8 different threads. Fact is he looked sharp yesterday, in a game where many others weren't. I'll take it. People who are wasting their breath on that overthrow to Williams need to have a coke and a smile....

Romo looked good, i don't care that he over threw him on that one play. I understand that T.Will is a rookie and its going to take some time for Romo to get his timing down. Also, there were 7 other plays he looked very good on. To me though, what's "unacceptable" is our team giving up 3 fumbles from our 1st team players. We will not beat anyone playing that kind of football, even if Romo has a stellar performance.

My whole focus this offseason was on Red Zone Offense and Quick Starts in games. I keep repeating myself about this b/c I truly believe this will determine our season.

Last season we ranked 30th in the league at 2.8 pts/per 1st Q. 28th in the league in avg pts for the 1st half (7.8 pts).

So far this preseason we're seeing a repeat of last season. Countless pts being left on the field early in games, penalties in the red zone, wide open receivers being missed. 1st team offense has 3 pts so far this preseason.

Now there is only one side that continues to ignore this and instead would rather focus on Romo's yards and completions. Has Romo ever had issues passing btw the 20s? What is the big deal about him doing it this preseason? I'd gladly give back half the completions and half the yards for those 14 pts he's left on the field the past two weeks.
