Does anyone think our offensive line is good enough for the playoffs?

What would you do to improve the offensive line?

If you think our offensive line is competitive enough, great. If not, what does Dallas need to do to get it there?

I'll bite. I think we have yet to play one game this season.. let's stop acting like they're going to be terrible already, especially given that they looked like a promising unit in preseason. I don't recall Tony running for his life too many times.

Well last years O-line was just a game short of being good enough and I think we're better this year so I'll say yes

No worse than what the Packers fielded last year and will field again this year. The Packers are fielding the worst pair of tackles in the entire NFL -- a 4th round pick is going to start at LT and a UDFA will start at RT. They also have a UDFA at Center.

It's possible to hide the weakness of a poor pass blocking offensive line with a QB with a quick release, mobility, and an offense structured to get the ball out quickly.

Define good enough for the playoffs. You can make the playoffs at 9-7 or 8-8. Good enough to make a run in the playoffs? No. Need at least one more quality lineman in the off season.

can Smith-Leary-Fred-Free-Parnell stay healthy enough over the course of the season and playoffs..........if lucky enough to string games together as a unit, yet
Depth will quickly become a problem if needed to be tapped into.

The Steelers won a SB in 08 with a worse OL than the Cowboys. The OL has had issues but it's not as horrible as some try and make it appear. The Packers have had success with a worse OL than the Cowboys. I just mentioned in another thread that Aaron Rodgers has been sacked 168 times the last 4 years which is 16 more than any other QB.

I think the left side of the OL is good enough, but there's too much uncertainty with the right side.

They can be. Just depends on Frees transition to OG and how Parnell progresses as an OT

Everyone would prefer to hit the ground running (pardon the pun) with our O-line but the truth is that Parnell is still trying to get acclimated, Free has all of 2 preseason quarters experience at his RG position, Leary has ZERO regular season experience, and Frederick is a rookie. This line is going to have to play its way into a groove during the regular season.

Do I like the potential of this group to be much improved over last year's unit? Yes, I do. But there are growing pains ahead.

I admit I was worried going into camp. Now I'm feeling much better. Gotta keep them healthy.

Well, they have 8 days to get ready. 8 days a week. I like it.

I can't imagine how good GB would be if they had a strong OL.
