Cowboys trade 2014 6th rd pick for Chiefs 2014 7th rd pick and DE Edgar Jones

Not sure that he was worth anything in a trade. 5 year player with 1.5 career sacks. Was an OLB in 3-4 defenses with Kansas City and Baltimore.

Baltimore Ravens

Jones was signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He filled a number of different roles as a Raven, including outside linebacker, defensive end, and tight end. His biggest contributions, however, came on special teams, where he established himself as one of their top special teams tacklers and blockers.

Kansas City Chiefs
Jones signed with the Kansas City Chiefs on July 29, 2012. He became one of the team's most valuable special teams players, leading the Chiefs with seven tackles and two fumbles recoveries on special teams, including one returned for his first NFL touchdown at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 14, 2012.

He might be one of those guys that plays better going forward than backwards, and so is a better DE than OLB.

sigh, another spot gone to a ST guy, this is not how you construct a 53 roster.

ST players are important considerations on any roster, but I can honestly say I do not understand trading for one at the final cuts.

This must be why they wanted him. Can't be because of his (lack of) production on defense.
