I don't think that there is any way we can play him. I can not imagine that he has had time to learn, even half the plays. We need him healthy for the season and that probably means more conditioning. The worst possible thing that could happen is that we lose him early because he wasn't in playing condition.
Waters said he is ready to play , he said its up to the coaches . If a 6 time probowler says he is ready I'll take his word .
Where is this limited snaps stuff coming from for Claiborne? Link?
Yet the Pats did the same thing with him.
And I don't think learning plays is all that complicated for a vet who has seen multiple playbooks and memorized 1000s of plays. Keep in mind that the staff only take a limited number of plays to a game - not the entire playbook. So that is what is getting pushed to him.
How does a player get hurt because they aren't in playing condition? That's more an issue of whether he can go a full game.
Cook did it last year, same circumstances, and he did alright.
I think it's very complicated if your talking about learning protections, audibles and all the rest in a matter of days. I mean your not just talking about this players health, your potentially talking about Romo's health if one block is not picked up.
He's played in the same system. It may seem complicated to you, but not so much for a vet like Waters.
Frederick built an I Phone app for Waters. No problem, Waters has all day Saturday to be up to speed.
Really, I don't know how you would know that.
By using my freaking brain? Rookies and dumb players take a long time to learn plays. Waters is neither and has experience in the blocking scheme we presently use. Not brain surgery there.
If you were using your brain, you wouldn't have said that the Pats did the same thing when the situation was completely different. Try again brain surgeon.
No, it wasn't "completely" different. It was similar. Only real difference is the amount of time of layoff. Yet your argument has been more about the mental (not knowing the plays).
