RG 3 did expose that middle, he did start killing on third downs, he kept them in it, He tried. We got lucky Garcon is not a better reciever, Moss is down hill, they dont have a guy to step up, but those Rbs started to break some off and i was getting scared

I'm glad to see this Dallas show up against a division rival. Now what I really need to see is consistency. Let's take this effort on both sides of the ball and bring it into next game.

Agreed. In fact they need to win 7-9 of their last ten games IMO. Last year they were ?3-6 and won 7 st8. I don't see them climbing over two teams but I don't have a tremendous amt of faith in either Philly or us.

I figure our division leader comes in at 9-7, I could see us pulling together 10-6 but I wouldn't bet on it.

This is the first game in a while that I feel like we out-coached a team from the start of the game and not vise versa. Hats off to Garrett and the staff tonight

I think RG3's bad passes was attributed to not being comfortable in the pocket. He did good with his legs and I give alot of credit to our defense for putting pressure on him. I was curious as to how having Lee and Carter in a full game vs this offense would be like. Question answered.

offense was bad today.

How many offensive possessions did we have? What was the TOP? How many times did we punt.

I agree by the eyeball test we didn't exactly blow them away. Their blitz created some problems for us. They gained far too many yards and kept the ball out of Romo's hands. OTOH, we forced FGs too often for them with good RZ play, decent pressure, and a couple of TOs. The offense was better than the D IMO mostly due to poor tackling.

The defense actually worked for a change... it's extremely hard on your stomach watching a 1-4 team pile up first downs (25) but true to the bend-don't-break philosophy, the Commanders could never put together a complete drive.

I don't know what it is but our offense just can't do anything against those guys. In addition to this and last year, we had that silly 6 field goal game a couple of years ago. Our offense was inept.

Neither have I. My point is though it only takes a couple of wins or losses either way to go from first to last or last to first.

They have lost to us and Philthy, it would take 4 wins on their part to take the lead and that is if both of us fail to win another game during that stretch, which is impossible barring a tie next week.

I, too, am happy w/; the win (AND SUPRISED AS WELL THAT WE WON), but things may have turned out differently if RGIII was more accurate on some of those throws. And our O only marched down the field once or twice to score; the rest was the result of the STs and D making great plays or getting TOs. I think teams are getting the idea that if you spot the Cowboys 10-12 points and then just trail along for 3 quarters, they will be unable to muster the intensity to prevent 2 4th quarter TDs to win. I thought this was going to happen tonight when Morris took off on that 45 yrd TD run. Seems as if the Giants have made this their strategy the last couple of years. But I am very happy w/ the effort of Hatcher, Harris, Williams and the other young DLmen that had to step up. I just wish they could do it from week-to-week...

Offense wasn't all that great, but they did do what they were supposed to, which was score in the red zone. We've had too many situations over the years where we'd have excellent field position like that and be kicking a field goal.

romo had one amazing throw but the rest of his performance was underwhelming . we couldn't run the ball on one of the worst running defenses in the league. dez and miles were both bad. blitz hurt us again and we didn't make them pay on a screen one time. offense needs to play better. defense gets a pass when you're playing with so many backups. honestly this game reminded me a lot of the entire 2012 season. offense under performing, defense holding up despite injuries. i don't know why the team can't come together and play well in all 3 phases at the same time.

The offense scored 24 points btw.

Do you wanna be the Philadelphia offense and rack up a bunch of yards with no points? I sure don't.

I give it up, they scored TDs in the red zone instead of kick field goals. But did you see the starting field position on the 3 of the TDs? WSH 15 yd line, WSH 15 yd line, WSH 3 yd line.

When the Skins started to look like they might climb back into it, our O went 3andout twice. I kept wondering why we didn't run any draws or screens or pitch-outs to slow down the blitzes. I just don't think our play-calling is much better than a year ago. I wonder if Gruden would be more inventive...? We get so predictable on offense! But if you can execute, it isn't as big factor and for the most part we were able to last night. Great win and kudos to the defense who kept playing hard!

Sometimes you're gonna get games like that. It's not like the Cowboys had many offensive possessions where they actually had to move the ball down the field.
