Side note that also makes me sad.

Ware is the only one left from the 05 draft which was fantastic.

Still one of my favorite seasons. The sky was the limit for the team going into that 05 season.

If only romo had been ready day one in 05.

That is a huge cap penalty for next year. Even more restructures coming next year no doubt.

Too bad it ended this way really. A very, very, good Cowboy when he was in his prime.

And this is why you never give a guy a new contract before it is even due to them.

he's laughing all the way to the bank.

Yep. He got paid what, $18mill the last 2 years for not even playing a down? Or just a handful if he did. He got into with Jerry in the locker room in front of media and the team last season. You don't do that. Almost coming to blows. Then how DWI this past January.

Good riddance. What a waste.

The distaste by the media guys on twitter, tho... Reminds me of the QC days.

Jerry should play dirty here, Take Rat to court if he signs elsewhere this season as a breach of contract. Just my opinion.

Why? For all intents and purposes, it seems it was an amicable split. Both sides were ready to move on.

He was a terrific player before his back started to give him problems.

After the dustup with Jones, he should have been cut. Most certainly, after the DWI, he should have been cut. Now the deed is done. Time to move on.

A split that cost the Cowboys tons of cap space. He could have played and asked to be traded. Instead, he stuck to everyone involved.. The Cowboys, his teammates and the fans. No respect for someone who doesn't see anything wrong with cashing checks to sit on their couch.
