Please, please announce a pre-emptive strike on Suh. The last thang we need is Romo on the ground and then on the bench because Suh was not pre-warned on his violet ways.

"I trust the officials will be looking after the NFL-sanctioned practice of protecting the QB. Fines are great but they are after the fact and we need our QB to stay healthy and actively engaged in the game."
That is my suggestion and approved by good writors everwhere.

Mr. Garrett, it NOT HURT TO SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
Face it, Suh doesn't learn by fines. he only learn by the spotlight put fiercly on him and stuff.

It may not hurt but it is not going to help, garrett is going to say what the refs and Suh himself already know? What Garrett and the staff need to concern themselfs with is getting the OL ready to go and take care of Suh the old fashion way

I strongly disagree. The extra looks (or such in his feeble mind) could keep Suh from felonius activity.

It comes across as whining. Just like when Harbaugh was moaning about his QB before the Packers game. Just let the refs do their job. He can talk to the ref during warmups if he wants. But don't do it in front of the media.

No chance. Suh is going to play his game, whatever that game is, and nothing we do or say will change that IMO.

Extra look is not going to do anything. Hell the league office already has another meeting coming up with suh. He knows what the deal is and Garrett coming out and calling him a dirty player is not going to change one thing. What can is having our OL take care of their business up front.

It's the O-lines job.

First to protect Tony during the play, then to be around after the play to make sure Suh doesn't get frisky. We know TFred has a nasty streak and Waters has dealt with many a punk in his day.

his head coach encourages this behavior. if he had a real head coach instead of a clown tough guy then all of this nonsense would have been stopped long ago.

You would have to be living under a rock to not know what kind of player Suh is and this includes the refs.

Also, by Garrett saying something publically ahead of time might have the opposite outcome you wish. The last thing we need to do is fire up Suh and the Lions by giving them billboard material.

You are all against me!

I sence a total block of disagreement with my premise.

Let me put it in laymens terms:

It won't hurt for Jason to do it.
Suh, again, would be put on notice.
The officials not only would half the commish but the Cowboys franchise looking over their little shoulders.
And the coaches just might, again, remind Mr. Suh that playing stupid is not good.
I do not see why a pre-emptive strike is no good. If it inhibit Suh even just a split second it is all good. Romo's ribs agree with me.

Waters is more physical than Suh. Should be a heckuva matchup.

Why motivate their guys by making this claim of Suh being dirty? It is not going to slow Suh down it is not going to make the refs look any closer it is not going to do anything. It is laughable to think Suh will hear Garrett make those comments and all of a sudden change his ways? lol Not happening.

So... WHINE then.

If he takes Romo out ... we are done.

Then block up front giving Suh a warning only fires up Suh and his defensive teammates, you call them out that only benifets them. Dallas OL know what they have to do no speech or warning changes anything

Do you really think that the difference between Romo getting clobbered or not is Garrett blabbing to the press about it? Really?

If Garrett wants to talk to the ref one-on-one pregame, fine. Otherwise, he should shut up and let the refs do their job.

Suh could damage after play over. He's done that before.

Never said that.

Refs May or may not "do their job" effectively enough.

Get on a flippin bullhorn and call out that a hole.

if this guy pulls a stunt and dives into romo's knees late, tearing his acl how would you guys react?

Yes he could and would likely get ejected from the game as he has already, his is on thin ice with the league right now. Garrett coming out and calling him out pretty much only motivates not only Suh but his teammates. Best way to protect Romo is by blocking words are not going to do a damn thing but fire them up
