Just curious.

To the Romo lovers, did it change your opinion of him as a top-tier QB?

To the Romo critics: Did it make you more convinced he's an up and down QB, i.e. inconsistent or even overrated when facing cupcakes?

To those inbetween: Did the game sway you one way or ther other?

No change. I think the years of offensive schematic ineptitude is taking it's toll on him. He hasn't really had a line to get comfortable with or a dynamic, evolving offense to work with. It became even more apparent that Romo and this scheme will not ever mesh together and one has to go.......and Romo isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Garrett + Romo = oil + water, they do not mix.

The only way to save Romo at this point is to become the Texans offense where the running game dominates and they run play action fake under center 75% of the time and throw to wide open WRs. Jerry will never let that happen though...he is paying Romo to carry an offense like Brees/Peyton/Rodgers.

Nope. First of all, as a Romo supporter, no one game is going to change my position after watching him play for years. However, it provided additional evidence (to me) that the offensive system is flawed. I don't know if it's incompetence in the coaching staff or an innate flaw in the offensive philosophy or (most likely) a bad fit between offensive philosophy and offensive personnel.

For instance, it looks to me like the slow-developing running plays don't suit our slow-moving O-linemen. And the required time for longer pass routes leaves Romo with pressure in his face too often. But there's little adjustment in the game plan and preparation to allow for quicker-hitting plays or plays (like screen passes) that can offset pressure in Romo's face. Simpistic take: we have West Coast offense personnel running an anti-West Coast offense.

how can anyone watch him move dez into the slot and think that romo is the problem?

how can anyone watch twill, witten and dez drop passes and think that romo is the problem?

and how the **** can anyone watch this defense get gashed up the middle and passed on at will and think that romo is the problem?

Almost. He doesn't seem like Romo. Is that his problem or is it on the coaches? I don't know.

I have neve seen you spell this good.

I don't know if I'm a Romo lover or critic. Im a fan of his but I don't think he painted the sky blue either.

Yesterday didn't really change anything for me. He plays in an offense that really puts him on a leash too much and is just bad for his overall game.

Yeah he gets good numbers but this system holds him back. I hate the contract he got as well.

Same opinion, good QB but has never proven to me he is a BIG game QB who could consistently get you into the playoffs and win you championships. I was hoping he could have made a statement last night and change my opinion because I so want him to shut up his critics, including me. But again it didn't happen and I don't know if it ever will, his window is staring to close and without any post season success his legacy will be just below Danny White..... IMO.

The offense as a whole is changing my opinion on just about everything. I don't care for Callahan. At all. If Garrett is buying into it, well, then........

I honestly cannot, for the life of me, see how two coaches can't see how futile the offense is. Stagnant with crossed fingers at every snap. Why they do not change........something, is beyond me. It is painfully obvious, to me, that Dallas is not of the pass happy flavor. Figure something out or the coach loses the team, IMO.

I don't have the energy to rant about the defense.........

Amazingly enough, the ST's are the best they've been in 7 years. Perfect.

This is about how felt before and after the game. Maybe he's be that QB on a different team but not this one.

Improved it and I was already a huge romo supporter.

Was Garrett the one who put dez in the slot and beasley outside? no

Was Callahan the one who put dez in the slot and beasley outside? no

Who put dez in the slot with beasley outside, on the fly, and completed a 40 yard bomb?

Tony Romo.

Its just another spoonful of proof, on top of 2 minute drills and no huddles, that Tony could do a better job of play calling than Garrett AND callahan. Period.

Didn't change mine. He is a top tier QB. The fact that so much pressure is placed not only on Tony but the entire offense is the main problem. They may not say it, nor should they but they know they have to go out and score everytime they touch the ball to be competitive, not dominant, just competitive because the D is just horrible. And the sad thing is, its been like that for a while. With Wade, Ryan and now Kiffen as the DC, the fact that D is horrible and can't be counted on hasn't changed. 3 different schemes with the same results, hard to explain.

Fix the D, how ever that has to happen, and the team will go a long ways.

OP
Did the Denver game or the final drive vs Minn change yours?

Minny game he didn't do jack squat until the very end of the game with time running out. The Denver game he played wonderful until the very end and threw an interception instead of taking the simple check down to his RB which would have gotten them the first down and more. Nope, neither game changed my opinion of Romo.
