I personally ended up ordering only two things - American Eagle shoes (boat shoes), they were 50% off + free shipping, so it was a darn good deal, and another copy of Madden 25.

For PS3:
Tales of Xillia - $20
That Last of Us - $19
Beyond: 2 Souls - $19
Tom Raider - $15

Slept right through it again! After 7 years of retail work, I'll stay home!

Stayed in myself but the wifey did Target and got 2 of the 50" tvs for $220something(ended up selling one of them right outside the door for $300) and not sure what else she bought just know her and my kid brought in a bunch of bags

I wear their jeans, other than that, all of their stuff is too hipsterish.

Absolutely nothing. I don't participate in shopping like a lunatic the day of Thanksgiving and the day following. :)

Live Christmas tree. No crowds. I was the only one on the lot. They delivered too.

I didn't go to any of it. I never have and I never will.

My wife, however, went to Walmart on Thursday because they were doing some pre-black Friday sales. She scooped up a 32" flat screen TV for the kids game room for 99 dollars and got my son Injustice for the 360 for 15 dollars and Batman Origins for the PS3 for 25 dollars.

So we got some Christmas stuff out of the way cause of her going Thursday and getting some deals.

I got a printer online on Wednesday from Staples. Also some Xerox paper also from Staples. I have never ever went out and participated in the doorbusters.Too lazy to do it. I want to do it at some point in my life though.

Not nice.

At least respect to the guys on this topic as some mentioned them or their loved ones who participated.

You obviously never worked retail. The people going to a black friday sale are nuts and that is being respectful because I can say a lot worse.

Go ahead and say worse please.

What does it have to do with me working in retail? I didn't work in retail but not too long ago, I was making $12 an hour and working overtime. Weekdays from 8 AM to 8 PM and Saturdays from 7PM to 1PM. Total 66 hours a week work schedule.

And I had 2 hour commute due to my housing problem and I was leaving home at 6 AM and arriving home at 10 PM. At some point in my life I was second guessing myself if I should splurge and buy a McDonalds Chicken Strip Meal.

So please don't pull this card on me.

Respect people and respect their choices.

Wow you are touchy.

Talk to someone who has worked a black friday at a Walmart sometime and see what they say.

What do you say about someone that is so worried that they will miss out on a deal that they trample people to death? It happened a few years back at a Walmart. There are fist fights every year. Every store has to hire off duty cops to keep people in line and even that does not stop the madness.

I am not touchy. You are being unfair that's all. Yes I understand what you mean. But nobody is forcing those folks to work overtime during holidays. It is against the law. They work by choice just like I did work 66 hours a week by choice. And that way, I was able to bring home more money. I see this as an opportunity for folks who can't make ends meet make a few extra bucks. Would I preferred if I didn't have to work overtime? Of course but in the end, I made a choice and worked 66 hours a week.

Now I agree with you that the doorbusters are crazy. Not for me. I haven't done even one in my life and I am about to be 36. But leave that decision to people. Everybody can make their own choice. Don't judge people and label them nuts. Nobody deserves that.
