Back on April 30, I wrote an NFL draft column and asked readers to clip and save. It’s time to pull that column out and see how you fared with a re-draft for the Cowboys.

Here's a link to that column, in which I presented readers with five options for each of the Cowboys' picks in the 2013 draft.

Here's was how I handled the Cowboys' re-draft.

What an idiot. Yeah, it's a crap load easier to make your picks now...

Hindsight is 20/20.

While I do not disagree with his choices…hiney-sight is 20-20, after all.

I'll take our draft over that crap, Eric Reid has had 3 concussions this year so he probably won't be around to much longer if he keeps picking them up.

Still would not have overcome Dallas injury woes to the Dline.

With hindsight we ma have had a better squad going into the future, but I fear the results may have been the same with the depleted line.

Taking guards in both the second and third rounds is still stupid.

Sure we need a good safety but O-Line need was even greater and so I would still trade down and select T Fred with a first round.

I just have no time for Gosselin as a football writer. I don't think he has a ton of sources that give him much news in season, so he isn't exactly breaking compelling stories. His analysis may have been decent 20-30 years ago but in 2014 when information about football is more available than ever before, I would expect something better from the Dallas HOF voter. The only value I see that he offers is that he has extensive contacts that give him accurate draft information on where players will go, but that isn't a predictor of NFL success. It just means he know what teams are looking at as far as draft placement. Unfortunately, he applies his draft information to the Cowboys - doing that is just crazy to me.

Good for you Goose. I'm glad in hindsight, and with the help of fan picks, you were able to be a far more successful now than people were in April.

He had readers write in right after the draft and make those picks. He did not pick them now.

The original column was uploaded on April 30th 2013.

He never says when he made his picks. I would not be surprised at all if he waited until this week to do it and based it off who he thought had the best seasons. All he did in April was offer multiple options for the picks.

wow didn't realize reid had 4 picks. it is mandatory that we fix this safety crap this offseason. never have i been more ashamed of a player than i was of heath this year.

The re-draft is worse then the actual draft IMHO.

Frederick is a top 10 OC as a rookie.
You can 'somewhat' negate that with Warford who looks like a hoss at RG.
Reid would have started here and done well but again he was OFF THE BOARD. --no idea if that was character or health related.

And of course we lose Terence Williams who had a great season as an 'extra' pick for taking Frederick instead of Reid.

Hyde may or may not end up better than Webb. None of us are qualified to know at this point.

BTW, the fact the draft came after the real draft does mean you have hindsight just not as much as if you redraft now.

But you do have the knowledge of where actual players go which is a pretty friggin nice to have gain.

I'll take what we got any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Useless column actually.

I suppose if Dallas didn't upgrade the C position, that would have been on his list to. Lets see this list the day after the draft. Then you can disect it a year later and see how you do. Not to mention Terrance Williams effectively replacing Austin. Imagine the year without him and who? Beasley playing 2nd WR ? ha ha

So, under this redraft, Costa would still be starting and we would not have a legit #2 WR? No thanks.

His INT stats are misleading, like they are for many safeties.
