With the release of Demarcus Ware and the loss of Jason Hatcher, assuming Spencer is gone, the youth movement and rebuild is underway. If your'e sick thinking about D. Ware in a Denver uniform or Hatcher in Wash...think again, check out the youth of this roster, with the draft still to come it's pretty impressive.

Shortly the "New" old guys starting will be Sean Lee and Brandon Carr both 28. We are a QB away from being the youngest team in the NFL assuming we have a right tackle in Weems, Parnell or Wetzel. Not so sure on that but we'll see. If we can hit on (2-3) picks in the draft most notably the DL- OL...this picture even looks better.

Really? We had the worst offense in the league with Campo. We had Quincy carter and an aging Emmitt smith. We have one of the youngest football teams in the NFL right now and a lot of talent on this roster.

thi is all for the people who wanted the youth movement. Im a fan of churning the roster, but we need some experience on the field as well. Lets see what the rest of FA gives us. So far ive been happy with it.

Even with Romo and Witten, Cowboys should have one of the three or four youngest teams in the NFL. Hasn't been the case since early-1990s.

I wonder with the exception of a healthy Sean lee if Dallas has a top 100 defensive player currently on their roster? Anyone else in the top 150? 200? It is remarkable how bare they are on that side of the ball.

This youth movement only make sense if we had young QB to go with it. Paying Tony was a big mistake. I say this only because we paid him as if we were 1 or 2 players from going to the SB. We are many years away. Tony may have grandchildren by then.

I don't want to ironically suggest this, but this is a process. By moving on from the high priced aged underperforming players we will be able to make strides.

Of course we'll have to draft especially well and make sure we are bringing in players that fit not only the scheme, but long term visions of what we're trying to do, but this team will be completely opened up by 2016.

Unfortunately though, this is with a closing window for Romo. The plus side though is if we draft another offensive linemen early this year, the next QB may be able to fall in on a really legitimate offensive line, and have some pretty young talented receivers.

Build this youthful offense around Romo, and by the time he has to leave another QB can slip right in, and not feel as much pressure on them.

On defense it is now sean lee's defense, and we're going to have to focus in the next year or two on creating a pass rush to go along with that. It would help if we can see some players turn the corner like Carr, Claiborne, and Carter. Players we've invested a lot in, but have yet to see a reasonable return.

Out of this draft we'll need to get at least 2 or 3 defensive starters. It's a large task, but it needs to happen.

Just saying those big names atleast gave us hope and excitement. Now it's just depressing that injury prone Lee is the only guy we got that's worth a damn.

But Claiborne could suddenly blossom. Bruce Carter could snap out of his brainless funk. Matt Johnson could actually be as great as people still think he can be. And there is the terror of Crawford/Bass waiting to be unleashed.

I was thinking the same thing but i like a veteran QB. You may have your wish sooner than later. With Tony's back problems, we may draft one this year.

I know we needed a personnel overhaul. But why not overhaul everything then? Like all the other teams that rebuild properly.

I'm not looking forward to this season, that's for sure.

I just want them to be good and good on purpose. Youth is nice and so is veteran leadership. What isn't good is haphazard moves hoping to catch lightning. Youth in the hands of Seattle or SF, Baltimore or Indy is a great sign. Youth in Jerra's hands is probably particle physics.
