remember: no meat on good Friday. stick with fish, cheese pizza or something veggie related.
 
No meat, but you can eat fish!

My wife's entire family participates in this, and I just smh at them.

You shouldn't be eating red meat on any Friday during lent. If you're into that kind of thing. And actually, the die hards of days gone by never ate meat on ANY Friday. Interesting how rules can change like that.

It is a religious thing, but it isn't discussing religion. Fish is meat though. Why make your initial snarky comment, if I recall you were making fun of the guy in his other thread. Leave him alone. He isn't bothering you.

Why Is Fish Not Considered Meat?

Fish is not considered meat by Catholics because the original law written in Latin calls meat 'carne'. This in Latin refers to warm-blooded land animals and therefore excludes fish as meat. Fish are considered under a different category because it does not come from land animals or birds.
