Guideline - either revived in the traditional sense or resumed.

I go with The West Wing. We'd be nearing the end of a second term of Matt Santos. We could also jump into a world in which Santos lost the mid-term election. Either way, by jumping in during an election it allows for highly exciting television (the second half of season 6 with the election rivaled Sorkins' first four seasons). Plus, with an ongoing election it would allow for logical cameos. This show has many more stories to tell (literally an unlimited amount) and would thrive in today's television landscape, given The Newsroom inexplicably is entering its final season (only its third), Sorkin will be available soon.

Firefly would be a good choice. I know I am not the only one that did not watch it until after seeing the movie and then went back and caught the series.

I also mentioned this in a different thread but I would like to see another star trek series since it has been some time since the last one. Does not have to be the same people of course but still would be nice.

Breakout Kings on AMC. Only lasted a couple of seasons and was not the best show but I enjoyed it.

Firefly for sure.

Also, Odyssey 5.

Also, perhaps a new "next generation" kind of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer. You know, "into each generation is born a Slayer" and all...well, get Josh Whedon back on the job and make a new one! :)

Wiseguy was a CBS show from the 80s of an undercover government agent who infiltrated organized crime syndicates. I would rate the show's first season as one of the best of all-time. The seasons that followed were not so much, but it was an intriguing show.

Space: Above and Beyond was a bold science fiction offering from FOX back in the mid-90s. It centered on an intergalactic war between Earth and an alien planet with human military serving as the chief cast and plotlines.

Cartoon Network's Young Justice was one of the best shows DC has ever brought to television. It had smart, well-written and superbly drawn episodes. I'm glad Netflix picked it up the cancelled episodes. The show should not fade away into obscurity.

Tour of Duty
Call to Glory

Good military type shows...

Space: Above and Beyond would be a great one to redo.

Actually, I think it turned into lots of girls can be potential slayers, just do not know who will be be tapped. Of course, they activated all of them so... you know....

He did actually continue the story in comic books. Read a few issues at the start but didn't keep up.

Props for mentioning "Wiseguy"... Amazing show.

To that I would have to add "Sopranos"... Yeah, I know, the main cast member isn't available. :(

Here are some others...

"X-Files"
"Parking Wars"... Hey I enjoyed it!
"Corner Gas"
"Pete & Pete"... Yeah, the kids are like in their 30's now. LOL!
"Ren & Stimpy"
