***Official Draft Thread Day THREE***

5th & 7th #229 overall
nice trade to move up 12 spots

That's not bad, and they got a good prospect.

Again, the interior of this DL is in dire need of help, and the 7th round is not likely to provide a solution that can help this year.

Wonder what we gave up... probably next year's 1st

Jk but wouldn't it wouldn't surprise me at this point

Nice having 5 7th's to still play with.

This guy is what we should be doing; he was rated 4-5 rd and we got him middle of the 5th. Good value. Since we only gave up a 7th to move up. Like the fact that this guy has really good hands. To me that is where you start on a WR- does he have good hands? If he does move on and look at physical measurements, etc. If he cannot catch what is the point?

Street looks to have good size and ball awareness. He's fast as well. Not so sure about his RAC, though.

I figure an 7th rounder will be ST's, possibly some depth, PS players. But they seem to find good value in the 7th rounds.

Yankey going in middle of 5th rd- once upon a time he was touted as a possible Second Round pick. Now that is a fall.

Man they are tearing AJ up on NFLN didn't know there were those kind of concerns.

That's a good use of 229th pick if you really like the player.
The trade partner must not have anyone they loved more than some others for at least 10-12 picks.
nice

I don't think the interior DL was as in dire need of help as getting a RDE. Melton is their big pickup on the interior and they've also got Crawford and Bass coming back and picked up McClain. It would have been great to get an upgrade at the 1-tech spot, but not sure we can find that now unless we just go whole hog and take several hoping one will stick (which I actually wouldn't mind seeing in the seventh, hoping to unearth a gem).

Two things really standout watching Street's highlight video. He is great catching the ball in traffic and is good gaining yards after the catch.

Good post. I agree. Gotta get separation and catch the ball. All else is gravy although I love me some speed.
