Skip, Stephen A: Cowboys to finish last in NFCE

What got them started was our bafoon owner/GM telling reporters how expanding the playoff pool to 14 teams would help Dallas! Lol so would bringing in an NFL caliber head coach. Steven A whom I can't stand pointed out that had there been expanded playoffs the last 3 years we STILL would not have made it LOL. As far as rebuilding, that is a non issue. We have rebuilt. We just have no leadership. People that walk around thinking we were close are dilerious. 8-8 in today's watered down NFL is a BAD team period. The fact that our division has sucked too is the only reason we were even around at the end and also the only reason we mustered 8 wins as 5 of them were against fellow NFC Least teams.

Wish to make some sort of wager that this defense will not be 32nd? 30? You can even choose whether it's total defense or scoring defense.

ESPN hasn't been worth a darn since it was just Sportscenter and Footy.;)

It is going to take a similar near perfect record in the division again since we play the brutal NFC West this year. It will be as usual, eight plus or minus two. More on the minus end if we cannot beat out the rest of the division and specifically not lose the season finale to one of them.

I want in on that wager as well. I believe our defense will be in the teens this year. And that right there will be enough for the playoffs with the great offense we have. Even if we are bottom 10 like you say (23rd) that's 23rd in a NORMAL year which is eons better than our 32nd last year (which was 3rd worst in NFL history)

I like the positivity you bring here!

I see 10 wins. Improved Oline which already is pretty good, better run game, better pass game, better Dline play and hopefully less injuries.

Sure I could be wrong like I was the last 2 years. But we were 8-8 with a couple freak losses away from 10 Ws. Our division isn't scary at all we can take it.
 
One thing we do know is .500 ball. Garrett has a winning record as Cowboys coach. 5-1 last year in the division.

We will have at least 8 wins nothing less, possibly more

To play devils advocate. We were also a couple of freak wins away from being 6-10. Last minute TD to beat Commanders, 6 TO's by Giants in 1st game. Our 8 losses were close ones, but our 8 wins were also close. It's going to be interesting to see this year what they do.

Yup, that sounds about right. Glad we traded up in the 2nd round and gave up our 3rd rounder.. we probably didn't need a 3rd rounder anyway.

On a serious note.. I'm not sure what place we finish. The whole NFC EAST sucks. So anything is possible.

I don't think it can be stressed enough that being negative about stupid things is not the same thing as being right about the outcome of a season where the team fails to miss the playoffs. Picking disappointment for an NFL season is really, really easy. Being right about what's likely to happen for the right reasons is difficult. These two yahoos couldn't find a deep argument with all four hands and a spotter. They are drooling mouths, as far as I'm concerned, and not entertaining and not to be taken seriously. It's not even honest criticism. It's just sensationalism wearing a Cowboy hat.

even if you are negative and right, you are still right. Its not stupid, Not curing the safety problem is blantant stupid. Blaming other parts around it, stupid. It still doesnt meant the negative factors are wrong. You can blow sunshine all day and still be wrong. You can debate the record all day, you are still a .500 team at the end of the day. Its not negative, its fact.
