Skip, Stephen A: Cowboys to finish last in NFCE

I think we can get to 10 wins by sweeping the NFC East and beating the Jags, Titans, Rams, and Texans. If we split with the Eagles and go 5-1 in the East like last year, we could still end up with 9 wins. I wouldn't bet any money on it, but ten wins is what we will probably need to get to the playoffs. Well, maybe 10 wins and the tiebreaker with the Eagles.

[quote="TwoDeep3, post: 5556035, member: 171"The schedule this season is brutal.
This is what I've been saying in all of these prediction threads, you can't say 10 or 11 wins without going through the schedule and picking out those wins.[/quote]

You both are wrong! Especially since the games have not been played yet. You or anyone else cannot "pick out those wins" unless you can read the future. smh

So then I will NEVER see you make a prediction before the season, before a game, during half time, since the season, game, or portion thereof has not been played.

Is this correct? So opinions mean nothing. Evidence of a crappy defense means nothing. Going to Seattle and playing against that defense and The Twelve means nothing. Facing Crappernick, Brees, Luck and other accomplished quarterbacks who tear up defenses in the passing game is unimportant just because one cannot predict the future. Even with one of the worst defenses in this teams history and nothing substantial to prove it was upgraded in the draft of free agency.

Is that your call here?

Because I can predict the future. Really!

I predict you will continue to use the word hater to describe fans of the Cowboys who discuss the weaknesses of Romo.

How'm I doing here, Captin? Still glad I'm back?

Keep shaking that head, 66.

I think I'd pick the Cowboys last too but there really isn't much separating the 4 teams. It's all about whether Romo can come back to his usual form.

Uhh.........that last post -- only the decaf line was mine.

Don't wanna p*ss anyone off or take credit for Two Deep's rant.

I truly believe that the eagles hopefuls are going to be very disappointed this year

They are the least credible media guys in sports. Even other media people laugh at them.

Care to offer a list of the other media people laughing. I'd be curious to know who they were.

So your aligning yourself with Stephen A. and Skip...

Just to make a point here.

Back during the Depression, Roosevelt started the WPA. The idea behind it was to get people employed and start the healing from the crash. Now some argue that he did more to lengthen the Depression rather than end it with his programs. But I would bet both you and I agree getting people back to work to contradict the Depression was a good thing.

Adolph Hitler employed the very same tactics to move the German people out of a Depression by building the Autobahn and other public works. So because we both agree putting people back to work is a good thing, are we now aligned with Hitler?

Obviously this is a ridiculous point. However, if I think Dallas will end up being in last place in the East, exactly how do I align myself with Skip and SAS?

Who listens to these two idiots?

Evidently someone listened enough to their opinion they figured it was worth posting here.

This is a parlor game we play. Not meant for anything but our enjoyment. Not sure we like each other, but we do enjoy baiting the other one. But I get your point.

I certainly hope so. It would be nice to see Foles suffer a major sophomore slump and the Eagles get swept by the Cowboys. Actually, I would like to see the Eagles have a year like the Giants did last year, and Giants have another one exactly the same, with 27 more picks for Eli.

The thing that kills me is how people take the bait from Stephen A when he smirks and laughs and goes on with glee how the Cowboys are a train wreck waiting to happen again next season - it's only a matter of time.

Well, every team except one will have a train wreck by the end of the year. How about that train wreck by the Broncos in the Super Bowl? They made the freaking Super Bowl! How about his boy Eli and that train wreck of a season?

I'd love to get on that show -- it would be entertaining to say the least.

Most of the local DFW sports talk radio guys for starters. Also Mike Fisher and other local reporters all laugh at them, especially at Skip.

Did I respond to your post?

Why are they hacks? because they don't agree with the BS Jerry sell's to the fans and local media every year?everyone who think that this team is not good is not a hack.

Are they all Realists? They cant all be haters right, so they are Realists?

You are so right. 5 games lost by a total of 9 points. Thats with all those injuries and the worst defense in NFL in the last 10 years. We could have easily been 13-3 with a first round bye. I really believe most people don't watch the games. SMH

Jerry? Is that you Jerry?

Skip says the cowboys are about a 6 win team. and Stephen says they will finish in last place. and the sad part is that i can't say they are wrong. in fact i think they are right on the money.it's going to be a long year for the cowboys.6 and 10 may be being nice. time to blow up this team. the window has closed.

I have no doubt this team can compete, if they were marginally better on defense last year they would have won the division. The Eagles dont scare me, we nearly beat them with a pieced together defense and backup qb. Giants will compete and be a bit better this year, while the Commanders are the only team I can see taking a big step forward. When looking at the division though theres no one here that I can say is better than dallas hands down.

Toss out the anchor. The radio guys are a bunch of disk jockeys turned sports talk. That doesn't mean they know jack diddly squat about the sport. I offer up Ben and Skin as an example of latent adolescence meets airwaves. Then drift over and take a listen to to the Hardline. Corby is failed comic relief. Flatulence with an opinion.

Dan of BaD radio also brings nothing to the plate. And you can include most of The Musers since their shtick is just that. Shtick. These guys offer nothing more than what you get here, except they have a microphone and 50,000 watts driving their insipid nonesense.throughout North Texas.

And then there's the Timewasters band. Failed rockers now considered the sports authority in North Texas. Sheesh.

I do not subscribe to the ramblings of SAS and Skippy. But at least they have a sports background.

Just curious, if a banned member came back to the site after a 3-4 year hiatus would he still be ban on site status or would there be some leeway?

There's a process for requesting reinstatement, but they'd need to approach a mod or an admin to get it rolling. Just creating a second account is not allowed for members, banned or not.

Rynie was a bad arse dude who brought some good info on the gameday experience.

'Bad-arse' is, at least, half-right.

Yup, that sounds about right. Glad we traded up in the 2nd round and gave up our 3rd rounder.. we probably didn't need a 3rd rounder anyway.

On a serious note.. I'm not sure what place we finish. The whole NFC EAST sucks. So anything is possible.

If you could get Screamin A and Skippy to ready your posts here they might invite you onto the show. Maybe even bring you on whenever they talk Cowboys or Jerry.
