News: PFT: Henry Melton to remain out until training camp

To me this is a non-story.

Not participating in OTA's after an ACL injury/surgery doesn't sounds like a big deal.

Incentive based contract, worst case scenario it doesn't work out and we lose nothing really. Best case scenario he returns to form and plays like he did before w Rod. I'm not too worried

Late May over reaction.
They said when he first signed, he wouldn't be ready to do any practice until TC started. As others said, we have 2 months yet. And even if they limit him at first, I think he will be fine. More reps for the rookies and others returning from injuries that are ready to practice.

In other news Matt Johnson will be missing OTA's so that he can rest his butt so that he can make it to training camp.

I never expected him to be practicing in OTA's anyway. He knows the scheme and I figured the team would be cautious with a guy they really want to be healthy.

This is what I expected. He will be a go by the time they get to Oxnard.

It goes a long way towards why Marinelli said that Crawford was going to start inside.

Exactly!

Melton's contract calls for big money next year so if he can't handle his business on the field this year to prove he's worth that $ than this truly is a 1 year flyer of a deal.
