The AL East is there for the taking.

I would love to get Jeter one for the other thumb.

Need at least one quality starting pitcher. Prefer two going into second half.

1. Tanaka
2. Kuroda
3. CC ?
4. Nuno ?

For 3 and 4 I want Price and any of the following:

Lee, Samardzija or Hammel.

Red Sox fans and Yankee haters... Don't be cruel! Lol

Our Pitching has not been horrible IMO. I do agree that we need at least one more arm in the starting rotation but if you look at the games recently, we are losing because of run production. In our last 5 losses, 4 of them were 1 run losses. We have 11 one run losses this year so far. Need to hit more. Definitely need another bat or two.

Completely agree... But.... Best of 5 series. You need 1-0, 2-0, 3-2 games. Good pitching will take hitters out of game.

Best of 7... Sometimes you milk 2
aces to win. See diamondbacks 2001 world series.

This is true but we have to be able to get there first. At this point, we just need to get CC, Pineda and Ellsbury back and get Beltran and Texiera to start hitting again, or bring in another bat.

Price isn't coming to Yankees.

1) We don't have the assets Rays are looking for.
2) Price already declared he would never sacrifice his beard for Yankees and that he would never play for them.

Also, ABQ, you can never have too many starting pitchers. I think we should grab one before trade deadline.

I actually think it's more likely that the Yankees make a trade for a pitcher like Samardzija or maybe Bronson Arroyo if the DBacks start dumping Salary.

I think the Yankees and Cashman do have a plan, all be it, long term.

Currently, the Yankees have contract terms in place with 3 of the top 30 international prospects available. Of the top 30 prospects, as of today, the Yankees have contract terms with three and are linked to 8 others. Here are the players the Yankees have either signed or are in negotiations to sign, of the 30 top prospects. The players in bold have already agreed to terms with the Yankees.

No. 1 Dermis Garcia

No. 2 Nelson Gomez

No. 5 Juan De Leon

No. 9 Antonio Arias

No. 7 Jonathan Amundaray

No. 13 Hyu-Jun Park

No. 14 Wilkerman Garcia

No. 16 Diego Castillo

No. 18 Christopher Torres

No. 25 Miguel Flames

No. 29 Bryan Emery

Obviously, not all of these prospects will not turn out but the future is bright for the Yankees talent pool in the upcoming years.

Still working on Emery.

In total, the Yankees signed 29 players. Working on a complete list.

They definitely have a plan.

A little bad news with the good for Yankees Fans. Looks like CC is on the shelf indefinitely.

http://espn.go.com/new-york/mlb/sto...right-knee-new-york-yankees-shut-indefinitely

Looks like the Yankees are going to have to go get somebody if they want to compete this season.

This Yankees team is a mess. It's like watching the Cowboys the last 3 years. A whole lotta "average".

The relief corps? Outstanding!

The starting pitching? Meh.

The fielding? Not bad, but not a lot of range in some spots.

The hitting? Anemic.

It's a boring team to follow and to watch at this point.

I know he had a rough go of it in 2012 but why not give Betances another crack at the starting rotation? He is probably best suited for the closer role but Robertson has that spot locked down so why not see what he can do until you can bring in another starter or until CC comes back?

I don't think they mess with a good thing, make that a very, very good thing and, move Betances to the rotation... especially not in the middle of the season.

For the Yankees to take the East, I think they need to acquire one starter and they need a bat.

I'd just as soon they release Ichiro and Soriano right now.

This is what should have been a couple of years ago.

Its starting to look like the Sux and Skanks will be battling it out for the cellar the rest of the way.

Rays have rebounded a bit.

Jays came back to earth.

The Orioles have finally started playing better overall. Even with Wieters out for the year they should be the favorite to win the division. Hardy is healthy now. Machado has started to look like Manny in the past week or so.

You know, the Yankees are only 4 out. All of the teams in the AL East still have time because the entire division is crappy right now. Yankees won't get back CC but they will get back Pineda and if they bring in another arm and another bat, (which lets face it, they can do it if they want to), they could still win the division. The problem is that I don't think they can do much more then that.

I would rather see them save their powder I think but we'll see what happens.

I think a few players like you mentioned and we can go far. I believe in Girardi.
