I'm talking about the way the NFL was set up in 1960. The Cowboys didn't even have a draft class that first year. Thay got the scraps off of all the other teams. Garrett had a much better team and the rules of the NFL are set up so teams can compete in a hurry anymore. That wasn't the case back then. Look at all the other expansion teams of that era. It took years for them to compete. Then look at Carolina and Jacksonville who competed in their second years. It doesn't take as long if you have the right people in charge.

So blame Jerry then and don't blame Garrett.

I blame them both. I blame Jerry more though but the coach should be judged on how the team improves. If the team stays at 8-8 and continues to make the same mistakes then I have to blame him.

I'm not defending his decision or anything. I'm not a Garrett fan.

Jones has been saying stupid things since he bought the team. I quit listening to him long ago and realize no matter what he says I'll still put on my underwear the same way and eat cereal for dinner.

Many fans seem to revel in his stupidity and take some strange glee in telling the rest of us that

1. Jones is the owner
2. He said something stupid

There are also times Jones was misquoted or taken out of context but the same fans just cheer up and tell us all JONES_was stupid even though THEY didn't read the entire story.

But its OK if they're stupid, they don't own the cowboys.
