Did anybody see Jerry talking to Babe Laufenberg about the Cowboys?

He was asked about a contract extension for Red, and basically said that Red is a better coach today, and that his gaining experience has been on "our dime." He said the experience gaining has come on the fans dime and the fans are owed the opportunity to cash in. In other words, the fans have patiently paid the price with Red, and payday is almost here - and HE, that is Jerry, owes it to all the Cowboy fans to stick with Red.

So Cowboy fans, Jerry is sticking with Red just for you!

This clarifies his comments from yesterday where he stated that he kept Jason because he has put too much into his training to not reap the benefits.

Maybe we should keep Garrett, for no other reason than he must really love the Cowboys to put up with comments like that from his GM.

Hey. He might not be able to field a winning team (hasn't for four years now), but this GM is pure entertainment and that should be worth something. Right?

You guys do deserve a nice long extension for him. Since you were so patient with all the development. I can feel a 5 year extension coming as payback for us.

Babe asked about the contract and if he would give him a 10 yr deal like Tom Landry got. Jerry said its not necessary. He and Jason are close and it sounded like their bond goes far beyond any deal on paper.

Red is here to stay if Jerry's words mean anything.

There are a lot of bromances on this team. I guess it extends to our fearless leader & his trainee.

This should surprise no one.

Jerry is totally insane, might as well just put the white jump suit on and live the dream.

How does Jason feel ya think…or maybe the locker room? Thats how the crazy dysfunctionalness of Dallas drags the club down on the field.

It boggles the mind how JJ thought it was a good idea to let a rookie coach 'learn on the fly' while he had guys like Romo, Witten, Ware, etc. in their primes. This wasn't even a re-building team but he thought "hell, let him make a mistake or two (which end up costing us every year". I have a feeling that even if we go 4-12 this year Garrett will still somehow keep his job while the dozen assistants will get the ax
