Calling out the coaches publicly is not the way to go about this.

“Rolando not having played for a year, plus having not going through the offseason program, I was really surprised that we put him in basically competitive situations as early as we did,” Jones said after Monday’s practice. “That was OK. He wanted to. Our coaches felt he should. But at the same time we’ve got to remember that he’s got to do some good running and the kind of things that are happening to him … that’s just classic response by your muscles for not having played for a year or not having worked out in the spring. Not just ‘football ready’ but just a guy that hasn’t been out here running as much as the rest of the guys have. You could make a case if you wanted to that, 'Gosh, make the guy run for 10 days before you ever put the pads on.' We didn't. He's getting that running in football drills, which are better if you can do it without doing some damage. Where I’m going with that is, the types of things that we’re seeing from him is the kind of thing you'd see from someone that hasn't run competitively in competitive situations and you're seeing the way your muscles respond. Anybody’s would. But I feel good about him. A lot. And really feel good about how he’s competing. He’s one of our better linebackers."

That's not all he's meddling....

I missed the part where he's calling out the coaches. What I read was an owner that sees the confliction of throwing him into the fire since he hasn't played in awhile, YET recognizes the need for him to be in there because he's already one of their best LB's. In other words, CLASSIC Jerry speak.

coach jones at it again that's why there will never be a coach of any consequences in dallas.

So it was OK and that is what Our coaches felt he should? Damn Jerry lol

I'm sure the coaches are upset about his comments although they should be use to it. Jerry thinks he can "Jerry speak" his way around his point that he should not have been put in a competitive situation so early. Obviously, most of your are drinking his koolaid and think he did nothing wrong.

All Jerry is saying is that McClain's body is sore because the coaches put him right in the mix. He's basically defending McClain not calling out coaches.

Could you specify the part of his comments where he called out the coaches?

No offense, but I can never figure out what you're talking about.

I am sure there is no way for you to know what any coach thinks.

You would think with the other Jerry thread, there really wouldn't be a need to create a seperate bash Jerry thread, but noo, here were are, still going hard. The sad part is while the debate is whether or not the pics are recent/legit in the other thread, there is even less here to bash him with. He is doing classic GM speech, trying to protect the player he traded for (explaining why he's not practicing as much) while at the same time trying to keep from saying the coaches should have done things differently, and create the misnomer of him calling out the coaches. Which ironically is exactly what you still found a way to do.

I guess the next argument would be, oh I wish Jerry would just shut up..

And yea PA beat me to it, oh well
