This is good to see. I haven't a chance to re-watch it. He was the slower than Hayden off the ball against San Diego. I wonder what changed?

I honestly don't know, but this game he came to play. We'll see if that holds up for 16 regular season games.

I think they are stuck with Parnell, Weems was the only one that was going to push him for the swing tackle spot and he's been hurt.

It looked like Holloman was the one who blew his lane (slid into Hitchen's lane) on the kickoff return for the td.

On the screen, Murray had two blockers out front (Martin and Fred) and he got ahead of them and gave the angle to the LB. Can't blame the OL imo.

Nice boss, but disagree on Murray. I like the way he ran. Not every run will go for 4+, but the way we used him set up the play action perfectly. Even after stopping him, the LBs were paying close attention to him because of the commitment we displayed in using him. I think the sluggishness was more of self preservation. I'm excited that at least these first two preseason games we haven't played lip service running the rock.

They need to do their due diligence in making sure RMCCLAIN is committed to playing again and once the are convinced, trade Carter, start Durant at will and hope to God Lee is every bit as great at Will next season as he was at MLB. I actually would love to see McClain and Lee play side by side. Physicality would no longer be a defensive issue the way Wilcox and Dixon like to fly around.

Tyron has to do better! I don't want to hear his number called by the refs this season period. I'm nitpicking here, but he's paid handsomely and I expect perfection from him seriously.

Williams, Escobar and Dunbar will and should gut defenses when they touch the ball. All TC, Williams has shown the ability to get open and these first two games he has flashed consistently. He's making catches with his hand and Weeden missed 6 by grossly under throwing that fade. ESCO hands are traps, catches everything and I like the way he uses his height. That screen to Murray, yea picture Dunbar with the rock. These 3 pups are worth getting excited over.

Start Leary and get it over with. He's just better than Berny. Not mad at having Berny, but he's better suited as our swing C/G.

Not even interested in evaluating the defense overall until I see Carr, Melton, Mo and McClain play with the rest of the starters. We're getting g gutted up the middle with two.of our main cogs in the middle sitting. Both of our starting CBs have yet to play this PS. Now individually, that's a different story. I like Coleman and I think the staff plans to use him.early and often this season.

Again nice writeup, just my 2 cents!

On the starting offense in the second series:

- We ran against a 9 man box and got 15 yds out of it. The Ravens frequently crowded the box and blitzed and we got more positive yardage than negative yardage on the plays called. If Garrett was calling the offense, he may have not stuck with the run against a crowded box even if it gained 2-3 yds. Linehan seemed to be unfazed, what remains to be seen is if we fall behind on the score board in a real game what he will do.

- Bryant's TD happened only because Murray excels in blitz pickup. He stoned the SS and gave Romo the time to pump fake to freeze the FS and throw the ball. Be careful about wanting Williams over Randle because blitz pickup is a very under rated aspect of RBs.

- Murray will be fine with his running. He seeks contact, that's his style. This OL can beat crowded boxes, who really cares?

- The variety of plays was good, and unpredictable for the most part.

- Weeden with the first OL is much calmer and can get through progressions with ease over the 2nd OL. Parnell is terrible, give him his pink slip.

- Some team is going to get a good WR from the crop we have to cut. That's a shame but we are stacked there.

- Harris is still on this team because of his return skills, his WR skills are meh but the drops he's had are a mystery for him.

- Bernadeau belongs with the backups.

- If Vaughn keeps playing like he is, he'll have that 3rd QB spot. I like what he's shown in two games.

This is probably the first pre-season in many, that the 3rd group of players have made a strong and positive impression once in the game. That was on both sides of the ball.

Something not mentioned yet, RB Williams should have solidified his position on the team from what he did last night. He can be difficult to bring down at times. And he does give it some good fight.

Zach Minter did so well on just brute strength in technique, almost makes me want to hear of a defensive end pickup this week. He was disruptive well into the Raven backfield on both runs and passing plays. The man definitely wants to make it on someone's roster.

What a great catch by Gavin Escobar. His reach on a long completion was an art form.

One has to know that it is early still in the preseason...as Jason Witten wasn't heard from.

For this game, Parnell sure had heavy feet and it didn't appear he had much perk as well. As far as judgments go, for this season, it is still a touch early. But he appears to have maxed out as a career backup.

I wasn't overly disappointed in the backups inside for the Dallas offensive line. They didn't hold blocks long, until it seemed like the 4th quarter.

Nick Hayden doesn't get much push, but at least he works into throwing lanes and gets his hands up now.

Good observations here, by both Fuzzy and Bluestang.

I've always liked Harris.
But if they find a good return man or two, his job would be in real jeopardy.
Right now, they're nowhere near replacing the the 2nd ranked return man I the NFL.

Just hope he gets past this slump

On Parnell, and I don't know the extent of his injury...but this last Wednesday and Thursday practices he missed time for his knee. That could have had an effect on his play.

Everybody has covered my thoughts. Murray is not the same RB he was a couple years ago, not bad, but not the same. Weeden has to make throws, even when he wasn't under pressure, I wasn't impressed. We have to keep Vaughn.

Both Walker and myself expected more from Parnell, he seems to be playing with no hunger at all, I don't get it. Can we please stop running Dunbar up the middle, at least use some miss direction. I don't care who's on ST, there's no excuse for that mess. I know the ravens aren't a offensive juggernaut, but the defense did okay, not like world class okay, but I didn't throw up once.

This game seemed like a better test of the offense and they looked good. The Ravens put a lot of resources into their defense and they were blitzing and stunting a lot. Even though pre-season is usually vanilla you could just tell the play calling is more sophisticated. It should be fun to watch when the regular season starts. Now hopefully Garrett can focus more on Game management.

On Murrays 16 yard run Clutts and Martin made great blocks on the run to spring him.

Dunbar looked fast, and his speed is deceptive, before you know it he's gained 10 yards. He was an offseason award winner and you could tell he looked bigger.

I thought the defense looked a lot better. Mincey looked like a different player from last week. Getting pressure on passing plays and stuffing running plays.

Not too worried about special teams, we saw the same thing last year in pre-season while they figured out who would be playing them.

I have no idea what I stepped in.... But my opinion is based on what i saw there times whn our swing tackle is getting beat by number twos, I do not expect him to be all-pro but average to slightly above average versus 1's, and above average to good against twos. Now I do not have the all-22 and things to look at so based on what i saw, against a good pass rusher over the LT Parnell is just too slow. I know he has the look but I think the experiment of converting a DL to OL is failure at this point. Best case scenario his needle is neither up or down and if we can get one of the OT that are already on the team to match his production no need to keep him.

xwalker backs up his opinions with lots of game/film watching, much more than I am capable of doing, I trust him if he has seen something, he has liked Parnell for a while and says he needs some playtime uninjured and will be more than capable for a RT, he never said he is the second coming(Tyron Smith).

I had high hopes for Parnell. But he has never looked the same after his injury over a year ago. Don't really think its physical; more mental. At any rate he is nothing. Wetzel seems to have the most potential;; weems seems only a career backup.

A very under appreciated part of being a RB by fans is the blitz pickup. Murray is excellent at that and one of the reasons we got him. We are not going to play anyone very long who is not really good at that.

Looks like we have sufficient at DT to do OK when our lame halt and crippled come back. DE is really looking weak and pass rush is pretty much non existent. LB, I think as long as his head is in it McClain will be starting with Durant. Carter- oh well.

I really hope that they allow Williams to go in with first team oline to see what he can do. The guy Imo is just better than Randal.
