I figured Mike Tomlin might pick him up since they're both from Newport News Va and they both went to William and Mary. Tomlin probably wanted him during the draft.

Good call.

Best of luck to him. He'll get to grow up in the league fast because they need CBs desperately.

I was fairly certain Webb would be picked up by another team. I am surprised it is the Stealers.

One thing is a little strange, though. Perhaps the "Give me a Real GM" crowd can help me out. What is a 'real GM' doing rummaging through the Cowboy dumpster (and the defensive dumpster at that) picking up GM Jerry's mistakes (wasn't Webb a colossal draft failure by a wannabe-GM?)? 'Real GM-ers' can you shed some light on this situation?:)

If you cannot tackle, you cannot be a Steeler CB.

Unless he suddenly grows a set he never had in Dallas, I do not see him lasting very long.

Clearly a real GM would've kept BW Webb because he would know the untapped potential that only the Steelers can see.

(see how I did that? lol)

Yes, I am beginning to see. :)Also, See, our wannabe-GM is trapped in a catch 22. He is an idiot for drafting him. And if Webb amounts to anything, he is a bigger idiot for releasing Webb.

This can only mean one thing. We are so deep on that side of the ball that we have to let quality guys go.

I do wonder when we release some guys in our front 7, will any of them get picked up.........probably not.

Webb doesn't strike me like an ideal fit for a Steelers defensive back. They're usually very physical at the point of attack. Maybe he'll blossom under Dick LeBeau's guidance but of course, it remains to be seen. Here's hoping he'll find success there, though.

Yes, here's hoping the Cowboys made a mistake and let go of a good player.

Or that we lack the ability to develop young players.

Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Yes, the real GM wants to bring him in for a no cost look-see, because there was no way he was going to blow a 4th round draft pick on him.

Any other questions?
