This team has been beating itself for years. From the Gran Poohbah all the way down to the trainer.

It's the Cowboy Culture.

The Pass first mentality has set itself deep into this offenses core.

If it is not the HC/former and part time in the last few years, OC, it is the OC they have replace him, only for him to replace that OC again and now the New OC is trying to run the ball more but years of the team being a pass first team has the QB continually audibling out of runs and going to the pass because that was what was allowed for so many years and in ways encouraged from the FO making it clear that this offense and team is Romo Friendly.

That was one loooong sentence full of spelling and grammatical errors but I think the general idea is spot on.

Yes, it is spot on.

We need to run the ball.

The crazy thing is...they were actually calling more run plays than they normally due. About the only time they have run the ball that much over the last few years is when the fans and media rip into them for not running the ball in a game the week before so they come out and try to over compensate the next game.

This game they were running it more. But of course Romo has to audible out in the redzone. Plus he had to make some just flat out horrible throws into double Coverage, Triple Coverage and at one time in the end zone it was 4-5 49ers defenders he threw into.

Let's not forget there was the one long throw that Harris caught that was thrown into double coverage that probably should have been intercepted and IIRC there was another throw he made into double coverage that nobody caught.

Exactly. Rushing for over six yards a clip, how do you not give it Murray every time?

And it's not always about the number of runs, but when.

On the one yd line seems like a good time to run it to me.

The 9ers were running it at the end when WE KNEW they were going to run it and they were still successful.

2nd and 1 on the goal line and Romo throws a pick.

I was absolutely fuming.

The playcalling was really good yesterday until we got into the redzone and it looked like the typical Cowboys.

We run the football....we might have made a comeback. When then niners got the ball in the redzone they literally would just do what Jason Garrett would not do. How do our players respond that?? You can only loose so many battles before the war gets outta hand...the 1st and goal was a nuke on our own town bad...last year romo said something like "its always a half a yard that kills us" in the Vikings games. That's what he was talking about the plays the scheme its all busted and every player, coach, trainer, writer in that locker room knows it. So I say what can fix this"?? ANSWER DEZ BRYANT AND HIS "BLOWUPS"....who is gonna say something if not him? When has Garrett ever pulled a unit aside and said something never just stands there and smiles...so here is to dez and maybe some of the other players taking it upon themselves to show what being a cowboy is cuz these coaches are just...just soft and weak

Would be interesting in seeing the run / pass ratio inside the red zone..... Did they run their way into the red zone and then pass inside the red zone?

This Franchise will not sniff a Super Bowl Until the Following. #1 Jerry Hires A GM. #2 GM Hires a real Coach. #3 Coach Finds a new QB. Unfortunately all this won't happen until a 1-15 season forces Jerry's hand..

Calls like that just make me throw my hands in the air and say, "I can't follow this group any more."

They are still my team, and I will watch and hope they win, .. but I know that kind of play calling will not work a large percentage of the time. It is football 101.

It is not how to win football games.

I took note that Murray had over a 100 yards against a basicly strong run defense.

The team that hit the field looked poorly prepared and had poor discipline. I honestly I believe this season may end up being very painful for fans to witness, but it will also be the one that finally forces Jerry to cede some control again. Kevin Sumlin or David Shaw will patrol the sidelines in 2014.
