Did Jerry really say this? Too much JW Blue?

Apparently Jerry explained why there were so many Whiner fans in his stadium Sunday by going all the way back to the 90's rivalry. All these kids growing up had dads that were such diehard Cowboy fans back then that - as kids do - wanting to be different than their dads and revolt, decided to root for the Whiners.

So it must be that the Metroplex is so full of Texas born Niner fans it was just a natural game for them to attend.

Jerry Logic at its ultimate best.

How will he explain all the black or gold jerseys when the Saints come to town?

I don't think that was his main point.

He mentioned that the average ticket cost $300. That's a high price where you are getting more opposing teams fans that are going to pay that price rather than the home team fans that are going to stay home instead.

He also said that with California's struggling economy, many Californians have moved to Texas (which is true) and so they are bringing their Niners fandom to the game.

And he did say that the 8-8 records have a lot to do with it as well.

I didnt hear those points. Makes a lil more sense, but still the kids revolting against the dad's is typical Jerry speak.

My whole family, cousins, uncles, aunts, etc. are Cowboy fans.

My cousins son for some reason started pulling for the 49'ers and has hated Dallas ever since. Born and bred in Texas.

Go figure. She must've dropped him a lot.

Wasnt there something else about all the Cowboy fans being in suites so you dont see them as well as the visiting team fans?

He can use the excuse about transplants but I am pretty sure we have seen other home games the last few years where fans of other teams were there in large numbers...might not be as large as the 49ers fans but large numbers.

Of course I could be just imagining that.

Im sure we'll hear after the Saints game how all the transplants from New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina have moved form Houston to Dallas and thats why they're at the game.

If this continues (and expect it to) there is going to be a point Jerry will visibly have trouble spinning stuff like this.

Who cares about how many opposing teams fans were in the building? Never cared about this.Never cared when Cow fans bragged about taking over another teams stadium. Who cares

You might be known for occasionally exaggerating a tad, but I don't think any would charge you with an over abundance of imaginary demons.

Everyone knows those fans are still dislocated in San Antonio...:igglestrophy:

Funny how so many posters leave out the little details to suit their need

Realistically there is no way to control who ends up with the ticket.

I actually agree with this somewhat, I know some Steelers fan's that said that in the 70s they became a fan because their older brother was a Cowboys fan.
