Twitter: Stephen Jones: Claiborne suffered a torn patellar tendon; Out for year

Well ok.

Sorry he got hurt. Perhaps they need to move away from him permanently. It doesn't seem to be working.

Need a Doc to speak to it, but isn't the Patellar tendon more difficult to repair and rehab?

I believe he has 1 year with a team option 1 year after that on his deal.

Stinks. It's weird that it sort of feels like a blessing in disguise. Rough to go through what he put himself through last week, and then go out and play a few snaps and blow out a ligament and be done for the year. Only to have your replacement play well in what ended up the biggest win of a young season. Hard to come back from that in the locker room, I'd imagine.

Sucks to go out that way. I wonder if he's done here.

Well, he can't be done here until after he gets the surgery, goes through the recovery and can pass a physical.

I'd be hesitant about proclaiming him a "former" Cowboy because I think there's some possibility that Carr is released in the offseason and the Cowboys jettisoning two CB's doesn't sound realistic at this point in time.

Reading Fisher's twitter timeline, his salary isn't such that it costs them much to keep him or get rid of him.

If that's the case, I can see them bringing him back for one last shot at salvaging something of his career and the investment made.

Just out of curiosity...is this the same knee that he had tendinitis in after getting hurt in camp?

Just kidding...

On a serious note...Mo has had a pretty crappy week/month.
