well that sucks...feel terrible for him....that's the same injury that Ryan Williams had his rookie year with Arizona so at least he has a teammate he can talk to about the rehab process and surgery and such

Need a Doc to speak to it, but isn't the Patellar tendon more difficult to repair and rehab?

Repair I don't know but I know the worry is that there was damage to the cartilage underneath the kneecap in addition to the tear. If there was then he might be done for his career as he will need microfracture or bone on bone will make is knee swell up like a ham when he runs.

I think it is his left so yes.

With his lack of speed I dont see him ever really being a factor at corner with this injury. Work him in as a free safety next year and see if he can give you anything there

Well, he can't be done here until after he gets the surgery, goes through the recovery and can pass a physical.

Yes he can. And I'm willing to bet he will.

He'll go on IR but he won't be on the team next year. They'll give him an injury settlement if they have to.

Interesting (in a negative way) that the team is saying it is undecided about bringing Jakar Hamilton off suspension to fill Claiborne's spot even though he is eligible. If they activate a guy like Pellerin instead, there may be more of an attitude issue with Hamilton than we know at the moment.

If that's the case, I can see them bringing him back for one last shot at salvaging something of his career and the investment made.

This is what I think also. If his cap hit is not an issue, he can come back and at worst be a role player, slot, 3rd CB, or even 4th. He would still be better than most others, unless they hit on a few in the dradt / fa.

Way to far away to even think about it.

I was impressed by the way he came on during the preseason. Seems to have good awareness and speed. Not sure that will ultimately mean much, but he is intriguing.

Morris Claiborne hurt his right knee during Wednesday afternoon’s practice and planned to have it examined. Owner Jerry Jones said he wasn’t sure if an MRI would be required.

“They may be able to resolve it with an X-ray,” Jones explained. “ But [head athletic trainer] Jim Maurer felt pretty good about it.”

Six days after walking out on the club upon being told of his demotion, Morris Claiborne has learned that his season has come to an end.

An MRI has confirmed that the cornerback suffered a ruptured patellar tendon in his left knee in Sunday’s victory over New Orleans.

Just curious but does anyone think he would of been higher on the depth chart then Moore if he wasnt a first round pick?
