according to you, not Linehan and Garrett has been consistent in wanting to bring balance to the offense. Really does not matter since nothing anyone says even those at Valley Ranch is going to change your transparent agenda. We get it you don't like Garret

Hey I hope Garrett does well but I honestly think he sucks.

Right now though he is in a good position. He finally has legit coordinators and a beast OL.

Less is more with Garrett.

I think his strengths are motivating and player evaluating but that's about where it ends.

If he were still involved as much in the X's and O's then im sure we'd be near the bottom in rushing again.

The Rams game, to me, is the clear difference between Linehan and Garrett. That and teams can't just tee off on us anymore without getting a screen thrown on them or some kind of checkdown to the RB.

Again, according to Jerry Jones, who said it explicitly. Jason Garrett was hired to call plays.

When Callahan was suppose to take over, the only thing Jerry said was that Jason had no problems with it and never insisted on calling plays, though Jerry from the beginning wanted him to call plays. But he did mention this caused issues. And the very next year, after the experiment failed, Jerry said explicitly that Jason kept trying to interfere in the offense and that, this year they will be him on the defense for 'input', because they don't want it on offense.

These are Jerry's words and no amount of spinning can change it. It took him major time to realize he made a mistake in this regard. Credit to Jerry...

I would agree that him being HC is more important than trying to be HC and OC, As for Dallas running Murray has more yards on 1st down than the other backs have in total, when you can have that type of success on 1st down alone it is pretty easy to continue to run. Even Linehan said it is not easy at times but when the but again when your RB is producing at the clip Murray is on 1st down alone that it hugh. As for X and O Garrett is still involved the X and O are what is worked on all week long not just Sunday. Game plans are put in well before Sunday's game and the work through out the week. I do agree that you will not find 2 people calling the games the same way and what Linehan is doing is working

yes and Jason was hired to call plays and did so as OC under Wade and continued to do so even after Jimmy said he felt it was a bad idea to take on both roles. Calling plays is not what makes you a HC there are many HC who do not call plays. As HC he is still very much involved outside of the play call. The notion that Garrett is some puppet of Jerry, hell it was Jason who took the playcalling away from Callahan last year and it was Garrett choice of Linehan as the OC a guy he knew and trusted to do the job NOT JERRY

And Jerry said that Jason was the de facto OC last year and kept getting involved and it wasn't fair to Callahan, especially considering he's a WC coordinator. And Jerry said this year, they would not be having JG getting his hands on the offense and that they want his input on defense. There is nothing one can deny as far as what Catch17 said. Jason's hands are less involved in the offense and Jerry did it. Why are people even trying to dispute it?

This is probably why I dislike Garrett as much as I do. Because it took Jerry so long to do the obvious and hire a real offensive coordinator.

I feel like we wasted a lot of good teams letting JG call the offense.

I'm use to it. lol
I think Linehan has done a great job but this notion all Garrett does is pat guys on the butt and has no part is beyond stupid it is guys acting like children they don't like Garrett thus they will say anything to discredit him. I don't know a soul who has claimed this is all Jason it isn't it is a lot of people doing the job but there is only 1 HC and if things go south he will be the one who takes the hit.

Look at what Jerry even said regarding Linehan, when he was hired:

"Linehan gives us a complete real change of our offense with our terminology," Jones said. "It's different. Although [Garrett and Linehan] have been together coaching, you can't see a lot of what we've been and what they did up in Detroit. He's got a track record of really zeroing in and building the offense around the talent, the specific talent and the qualities of the players."

Jerry admits that Linehan and Garrett coached together, but he says they do things totally different. He even says the following:

“There is no question, he’ll take it and he’s done it,” Jones said. “Look hard at how he maximized his skills, how he maximized Johnson’s skills. Johnson didn’t get there doing what he did against us. For whatever reason, they designed stuff to take advantage of Johnson getting there. We’re not going to give any coach credit for Johnson. Well, that’s not really the way it should be. With what he did at Minnesota, with what he’s done and where he’s been, he really does make adjustments to the personnel that are really dictated by the scheme and the philosophy. There’s no question that he’ll take his top players, and it can be in the running game as well, in the running game, he will utilize them in the running game. To some degree all coaches will say that, but getting them to do it or getting it done is another thing. But he’s a proven imaginative coach, relative to using his talent, their particular skills."

People can yap all they want till they turn blue over Garrett's process, but even here Jerry says that Linehan is here, because of the limitations of Garrett. Garrett did not use the personnel as they should have and he wasn't using the running game. These are Jerry's direct words.

It was not fair? lol Jason still has input on offense and defense and special team he is the HC you don't seem to grasp that. You don't like Garrett and refuse to give him any credit for anything. Continue you act it really comes off as petty

I feel like we wasted a lot of good teams letting JG call the offense.

Not to mention, all the excuses of why his offense never succeeded, including having other coaches take the downfall. When asked after Wade got fired, why they didn't run, the excuse was that they couldn't practice in pads. Another reason is how everybody was thrown under the bus for Garrett, when people were questioning his play-calling. Nobody would admit it. And the final reason is that because of this play-calling, this team had to go through broken ribs and a bad back in regards to Romo. Who knows how much his health was compromised, with the chaos.

he does not mention Garrett in any of the comments yes he is praising the job Linehan is doing and should Linehan is doing a very good job a coach by the way who was brought in by Garrett himself that according to Stephen Jones. As you said you can talk till your blue in the fact but Garrett has been involved in helping to get this team turned around. But in your world Garrett plays no part.

Again, you can yell it until you turn blue, these are Jerry's words not mine. He not only mentioned when he first wanted even Callahan to call plays, he mentioned both play-calling and putting together the game-plan. One could only imagine the extent of changes Callahan would have made, provided he controlled the game-planning fully. With the appearance of Linehan, I'm glad it worked out the way it did though. I never really thought highly of BC as an OC, though I thought anybody would be better than Garrett. The fact that Linehan coaches in a Coryell-Vertically based offense and himself rolls Romo out the pocket on boot-legs is great.

LOL... This was in February of last year, on why they fired Linehan, before Linehan even started coaching... Do you understand the point? We are talking about why Jones no longer wants Garrett in-charge of the offense.

2 of the biggest Garrett haters not a shock they can't give any credit to him, no one has said others should not get credit they deserve it but to be this petty not to give the HC any credit is a joke. But to be expected

Jones want Garrett running the team as a whole not being the OC as well as HC.

I'm giving you the exact reasons of why Jerry made the changes in the offense, which includes it wasn't performing as it should have, and that they don't want 'his (Garrett's) input' in the offense, but defense. And you keep yapping with what your saying.... Why is it so hard to admit that the 'process' was not a process....
