Percy Harvin traded

It is surprising. The Seahawks are paying him a ton of money for very little in return so far. He had a good Superbowl, but he certainly wasn't the difference between Seattle winning and losing that game. He has been a non-factor during his two regular seasons in Seattle. He has caught 23 passes in the regular season for the Seahawks. They expected more after giving up a first round pick(along with a couple of other draft picks) and a guaranteed $25 million. That is over $1 million for each reception he has for them. Seattle may be better off getting rid of him now and taking the cap hit. His base salary was going up to $10 million next season.

I thought trades for big named players didn't happen during the season lol.

Well, here’s your Friday afternoon news dump, which is actually more of a cannonball into the deep end.

According to Jay Glazer of FOX, the Jets have acquired wide receiver Percy Harvin in trade from the Seahawks in exchange for a draft pick.

Such a huge deal happening midseason is practically unheard of, and comes at a strange time for both teams.

If the Jets were going to do something like this, a better time would have been before they started 1-6.

And for the Seahawks, the defense of their title just got more complicated without a dymanic playmaker.

After giving up first-, third- and seventh-round picks to get him, then paying him, they got 10 games from Harvin.

Obviously, we’ll have more on this throughout the night.

Again, I'm reporting The JETS have just agreed with Seattle to a trade sending WR Percy Harvin to NY for conditional pick

1. Very interested in what Seattle received for him considering all they gave up to acquire him.

2. It takes a big weapon away from an offense that is already somewhat one-dimensional.
