Heard “anger management” had quite a bit to do w/ Harvin’s departure in Seattle. (1/2)
History of confrontations w/ teammates contd in SEA according to my guy including punching G Tate during SB week & near fight w/ #3 in ‘14

Also, a league source told the Times that Harvin didn't want to go back in at the end of the game Sunday against Dallas.
Harvin also didn't travel to Oakland for final preseason game Aug. 28 after getting into altercation with Doug Baldwin earlier in week.

The power of the Cowboys:

One final straw, a league source said, came in Sunday’s 30-23 loss to Dallas when Harvin apparently balked at going back into the game in the fourth quarter. Harvin played 26 of 48 official snaps but did not play 11 of the final 17. He finished with six touches for minus-1 yard.

I'm not big on the Jet's chances to refurbish Havin, but if they can, you combine him with Decker and a very possible 1st round QB and Jets could be an interesting team come next season. The AFC East isn't exactly strong.

look at McClain; it was the third team he bounced to that seemed to get it done. There our other examples of someone having to make several stops before he found a home.

That's very true.

The Jets are going to have a miserable season this year but they're inline to get in a sweet draft position. If this team can stumble upon a QB and improve their pass defense... Plus they have gobs of salary cap space. You could see a nice turn-around in one season.

I don't expect the Jets to make any noise next season with a rookie QB. There are some good options in the draft to get a QB, but I think the majority of rookie QBs are limited. Maybe in two years. There is a chance they don't draft a new QB and actually stick with Geno.

Some resident armchair scouts here touted Geno as the next big thing and wanted us to trade up to get him to replace Romo. LOL

Living in NY, I can easily say that this is a popularity move. 3 years ago when we won the Superbowl, Eli manning admitted he was the third QB behind Sanchez and Tebow in terms of popularity. He is a guy that is hurt more than 50% of the time. Jets rented him for a season and gave up only a 3rd or a 4th rounder at best. I expect him to be released this summer.

He's obviously a malcontent. A coach killer.

Actually from everything I've been reading that's quite accurate.

Apparently the guy is a big problem in the locker room. Always arguing and fighting with team mates. According the the guy that played in Seattle last year, that's at NFL Network this year, Michael Robinson I believe, he had to break up a fight between Percy and Golden Tate the day before the Superbowl.

From what I've been reading the FO was growing increasingly worried that Percy was about to seriously divide the locker room on Russell Wilson, whom apparently Percy doesn't like and has been vocal against. They were worried he held enough power in the locker room with the players to cause problems with Wilson. Sounds very much like a TO situation to me with Harvin.

And from what I read earlier today that 2nd round 4th round stuff wasn't accurate at all. Apparently the best they can get for him was a 6th. It's for a 7th that could maybe become a sixth based on performance. So you know they're ready to unload the guy when they gave up 3 picks and all that money for him just to trade him a year and some change later for at best a 6th.

This isn't the first reports about his attitude dividing a team either. He was rumored to have trouble with the Vikings with team mates and being a problem in the locker room. So this isn't anything new about Harvin really. Seattle bet on getting him there and changing him to the Seattle way of thinking and they didn't get it done. They gambled and lost on the deal.

And, no, they really won't miss him. This team got to the Superbowl without him last year. He didn't do anything to help them. So they don't need him. If anything this helps this OC get away from the stupid gimmicky stuff that he's doing to build the offense around Percy and allows them to go back to the Smash mouth, beastmode, offense that is strong suit.

I wasn't being sarcastic. Everywhere he goes, he has issues with people.

A player pulling himself out of a game because he doesn't like how he's being used? He should be blackballed from the league.

I figured you were being serious about it. I was just simply backing up your thoughts on it with what I'd heard was all.
