Willful ignorance.

In case you honestly don't know, read up...I first saw this video here, so you should have seen it.

...in regards to the video, Jerry is suffering from a hammer concussion.

You seem to suggest Jerry was at least mostly responsible for the SBs of the 90's and Jimmy was along for the ride, but strangely Jerry has not remotely duplicated that for nearly 20 years - good luck explaining that without seeming drunk, a troll, on the Jones payroll, related to the Joneses.

P.S. the sig picture parodying Jones as Kim Song il is not because he runs the Cowboys with an iron fist, but because he panders for worship. Seriously, who needs that kind of attention?

Who Belichick discusses talent with is not relevant to the OP nor the point I originally responded to you about. It is, however, a red herring. Nice try.

I did not suggest that "Jerry was at least mostly responsible for the SBs of the 90's and Jimmy was along for the ride...". I did not even insinuate that. I simply pointed out that using 1997 as a starting point is not relevant to anything in Cowboys history since Jones has owned the team. There was no major changes that season, no big events, Jimmy had been gone a few years already. The only two things I recall about 1997 was that it was Switzer's last season as coach and the drafting of Dexter Coakley... wait that's it. Drafting Dexter Coakley in 1997 set off a chain of events that led to 17 NFL seasons when combined equal a record of 136 wins and 136 losses!! Damn you Jerry Jones for drafting Dexter Coakley!!! Damn you to hell!!!

Your sig picture has nothing to do with the "Jerry the Dictator" thing. That was entirely from the tired trope that Jerry is some puppet master pulling all the strings behind the scenes.

The greatest coach of our era seeks out Jimmy's advice (on stuff far more serious than the video) - something Jerry can't bring himself to do....what could be more relevant to this topic?

Sorry, my schedule has ended my feeding of this troll - got other things to do.

I'd LOVE to be with you in a real life situation at work defending someone with a record like Jerry's....Wait! You might realize you neck is on the line and not commit career suicide.

Who Belichick seeks advice from is relevant to the thread topic with the title "Is Jerry really the GM still?".... wow.... amazing.... LOL... that is AWESOME!! Hope your elevator gets fixed soon.

I'd LOVE for you to actually read what I wrote and comprehend it.... Wait! You have patently demonstarted you are incapable of doing that so I guess it doesn't matter.

So go on, pretend like I defended Jerry if it helps you sleep at night.

A lot of people hated my thread about how football teams operate. Little by little, stuff comes out that proves I was actually on point.

Ain't karma a hoot?

What came out that proved that? The team is winning but that doesn't validate your view that we're run just like any other franchise. If anything, details have come out to prove otherwise. See Johnson, Jimmy.......

Yes, he is the GM. And he uses a committee of people to make the decision they feel benefits the organization most. Just like every GM in the league does and he's done this for years. Cowboys fans really buy into the media narrative of Jerry the evil owner who makes all of the decisions. It's about as ludicrous as Jimmy claiming he made all of the decisions while he was here.

Yep.

Some on here think a GM works 37 hours a day, 11 days a week. And they not only show up at every pro game to do scouting, they show up at every college game and in their spare time will take in a dozen high-school games per week. On top of that every day he'll look 21 hours of film of all players in the NFL, arena league and the CFL.

So does your answer.
Yep, I intended it to. When you wallow with pigs, you tend to get mud on yourself. You're a smart poster. I'm sure you can figure out exactly what I meant without the transparent baiting for your high five crowd, who honestly, collectively don't know crap.

You can sling mud all you want but you made a statement and I asked for some clarification. You keep going back to your previous assertions, not me. I actually thought you may have something factual which I may have missed. Never mind, I never expected you to have anything more than conjecture to feed your blind flock.

You've missed a ton.

1997-2013

  • Patriots have won 3 SBs
  • Packers have won 2 SBs
  • Giants have won 2 SBs
  • Broncos have won 2 SBs
  • Steelers have won 2 SBs
  • Ravens have won 2 SBs
  • Rams won a SB
  • Bucs won a SB
  • Colts won a SB
  • Seahawks won a SB
Cowboys were .500 with two playoff victories - one of three teams not to appear in the NFC championship.

Many thought Detroit was very slow to fire Matt Millen as GM, but he lasted less than half this period - 8 years.

Enough with the extremely obvious and recap of many threads - being a Cowboys fan does not require to justify the performance of the GM during this period. If anything, it demands you to call this body of work a cow chip no amount of whipped cream can cover.

A six-week win streak is a blip compared to 17 years, and this season is not over.

There needs to be a season or two before we can say the Cowboys are a success. Heck, it took me years to get on the GM's case - he's gotta show me.

Unless it's the Dallas Cowboys.
