It looks as though both AP and Marshawn Lynch will be available next year. That will help dry up the demand for Murray.

Just have to beware those same teams looking to replace them...

It's gonna be tough. I was thinking the team will be forced to choose between signing guys like Durant and Carter over signing Murray. There are quite a few guys we could bring back by NOT signing a RB to a big contract. I think it is a fallacy that only Murray can dominate. The budget of the thing has to be kept in mind.

I think the Vikings are going to roll with McKinnion. He was a 3rd round pick and has 2 100 yard games the last 3 weeks. Dont think they will be looking

Right now Lynch and AD are close to Murray value wise. When a legit league MVP candidate hits the market, someone is going to pay. The very least Murray will get ks 7 million per

7 mill is the figure I came up with as well.

Don't ever rule out Dan Snyder in free agency. He loves to pick up guys off our roster. Wouldn't shock me one bit if he offered Murray a huge deal.

Raiders or Browns could too

Adding an MVP candidate is a good way to increase that revenue flow

Snyder has Alfred Morris, not sure he is looking to shell out for a running back.

McCoy is also a guy who will likely be cut.

I hear it is also a pretty deep RB draft.

I think we can maybe get him cheaper, with a lot of teams looking around the league and seeing that paying running backs doesn't lead to success.

Im gonna get flamed, but I think AD is going to be the most cost effective way of maintaining our ground dominance in terms of both money and potential draft pics

He will cost about half what we would have to pay Murray, would sign for fewer years because of his age and would keep up from spending a day 1 or 2 pick

We offered him 4 million a year and they arent gonna offer him anymore

Provided Murray stays healthy he will see a huge pay day, no doubt about that. Some owner will have to have him.

Plus I think they know that resigning Murray to a long term deal at market value ( 8 Million+) will look horrible in a year and a half. Two max

If you're going to give him a two year deal, it basically can't be more than the franchise tag that you would use on him twice.

They might... But they shouldn't... Let the market set the price.. If the price is too high pass..

Part of me agrees with you, especially looking at running backs and their inability to reproduce this level in the 2nd year.

Another part of me wants him on this team. I'd say at least put the franchise tag on him and at least trade him.
I can't just qualify letting him go without anything in return.

Im not saying giving him a two year deal. Im saying extending him will look like a horrible move in a year and a half, two years max

Age and contract length may be a factor in many of thee cases. As well as if any of these will over value themselves too.
