He may not be a Hall of Famer, but this team is dead in the water without him.
Love or hate him, he is worth about 5 or 6 wins a season.
The team today reminded me of the 5 and 11 Campo years. Yuck !

Totally unrelated, but our specials teams SUCK !
2 blocked kicks in 9 games this year ??? Really ???

This is what it's like without a backup plan for life without Romo and going dumpster diving

Exactly. I'm not understanding the logic that life after Romo has to mean completely incompetent QB play.

Brandon Weeden is one of the worst starting QBs to play in the league in recent memory. You went from one extreme to the other with Weeden replacing Romo. That doesn't have to be the future if you have a decent front office.

So Weeden's lack of talent has nothing to do with the results? And any quarterback except Tony will have the same results?

Makes one wonder why the GM did not try harder to keep Orton.

Only thing that was confirmed after this game is this team would be stupid not to go QB in round 1 of next year's draft. Weeden reminded me of Hutchinson and the throwing mud against the wall mentality displayed after Aikman was released. Dumpster diving sounds right.

Evidently the same GM/HC/Front office were so impressed with Weeden in the offseason that they felt good that he could provide the same level of play that Orton could.

Well, I was around when we had life after Troy, and what I saw today was painfully familiar.

But it didn't have to be that way. They had no succession plan in place and made horrific personnel decisions there until they brought Bill Parcells on board to do their job for them.

It's an indictment on the fraud front office that still exists today. If like after Romo ends up being what we saw today, blame those two complete morons.

Go Cowboys, by the way. I won't apologize for being a fan.

But even having a Weeden/Hutchison starting can easily be avoided with adequate resources being allocated towards the position. JJ tried to go cheap and it nipped him in the bud. No lie from me: had no idea Weeden was that bad. No catches for the starting WRs until the very end? It was pitiful. That doesn't mean Romo or nada however.

Weeden was horrible everywhere he's been. I remember reading practice tweets which resulted in Weeden throwing INTs. In preseason, he looked like crap. His ball placement wasn't there.

How they did not see this is beyond me.

this is what it looks like when you don't have capable backup. I thought Orton held his own last year and I thought Kitna held his own previously. Dallas has work to do in off season in this area.
