In the 1st game against the Giants, the Cowboys ran right 18 times. Parnell was the RT.

In the 2nd game against the Giants, the Cowboys ran right 6 times. Free was the RT.

It seems that Linehan thinks that Parnell is a better run blocker than Free.

According to FootballOutsiders, Dallas is 5th in YPC when running behind the RT and 3rd when running off the right edge this season.

If you think that's all Zack Martin, Dallas was 1st in YPC running behind the RT last year and 6th when running off the right edge.

I wouldn't look too much into your two game sample size.

No, it doesn't. It seems you are making up cause as you are wont to do when you zero sum your pet cats.

We also have run behind right tackle more than any other team in the league this season, with Free being that right tackle for most games.

Parnell has more power than Free. Free was the better pass protector except for his implosion year.

Not to mention they could have been attacking a specific defensive weakness when Parnell was playing.

I didn't keep count but I was annoyed at the attempts to the left. JPP is the the best 4-3 run defender in the league, and kiwanuka is pretty terrible...so we ran at JPP the majority of the time?

Might have just been a nice strategy to exhaust him. Seems like he was beaten down at the end of the game when Tyron just absolutely owned him.

just love your agenda when it comes to parnell...the most consistent thing on this site

Thanks.

Does it not seem odd that they would reduce the runs to the right by 1/3rd against the same team with the same LDE and generally the same defensive players?

It does but I don't know if it has anything to do with Parnell v Free.

It's really somewhat of a joke at this point. Everybody knows I like Parnell over Free so I threw that in there.

I was just re-watching both games and noticed that it was really odd that they stopped running right in the 2nd game. If they had lost the 1st game I could understand a big change in the offensive play-calling, but considering that they won, it seems odd to not repeat what works.

I think they were running left more to attack JPP. Keep him honest so he just doesn't get to rush the passer every down.
