The defense stunk it up thread

The defense didn't show up at all. They started bad and got tired. Bad combination.

Don't resign or pick up the option on anyone. No one is worth it

ever since their 6 game win streak, this team has been reverting back to last years team.....and this defense showed today what some of us knew all along...

Defense was playing above its head early in the season. It has come back to earth.

Am I the only one, now that we are nearly 2 years in on the Wilcox experiment, starting to wonder if the lightbulb is going to come on with him?

He and Church are good run defenders, but to my untrained eye seem to offer next to nothing in terms of pass defense.

We just don't have the horses on defense. It's as simple as that. We should be able to win another game this season -- two if we're lucky -- even with this defense. Let's enjoy what should be our first season north of 8-8 and hope that we can draft as well on defense as we have along the offensive line. The bottom line is, we're not going to get very far with this current defensive unit.

Parade of scrubs — Hayden, Church, Mincey, Spencer, Moore, Spillman, Carter, Carr, etc.

This defense needs a major overhaul, which is even more difficult when you figure we need a genuine #2 and #3 WR, Future QB and possible RB.

I'd take Wilcox a 100x before Church.

Wilcox was awful today. Just awful

I found myself remarking to my son on numerous occasions: "Look son, there is Bruce Carter being blocked all the way across the screen again.".

It was crazy. I saw Carter on numerous plays blocked by an OL, driven back a LONG LONG way, and basically him quitting.

It was highly discouraging.

Anybody who is harboring the idea that the Cowboys should bring Carter back next season is nuts.

There is a whole lot of quit in Bruce carter. Easy to see why he is not a rod favorite

I blame the offense, they get the lion share of the money and are clamoring for more yet they laid a huge egg today and let the defense down tremendously.

They better think long and hard about the cost/benefit of sinking huge chunks of the cap to a few offensive players going forward

As much as we don't want to admit it...Philly has a solid offense and this defense was wearing down prior to this game. I was afraid we might struggle today. I wanted to believe that we our offense could take control of the game but they weren't on today either.

Agree. We are closer, but tonight showed us we have a long way to go
